I never got cruisefirst when i purchased my cruise but now i would like to put it on. I am going to be switching dates and i'm wondering if they would let me put cruisefirst on for that reason. Or should i wait until later and gamble that i'll be able to add it? Cruise isn't until 2025 so i was concerned if i cancelled the cruise altogether then i would lose the cruise first.
My cruise went down 50.00, not a lot but i want to switch cruise dates and that will mean i am paying around the same price. It pays to look! Do i need to phone ncl to switch dates?
Yes i complained and they said they'd be quieter and never were. Thats something thats needed for the whole ship so who cares about the 1 or 2 people affected. I do wish i had asked to change rooms. I assumed i would have to ask through my travel agent and he was useless. Keep in mind this was my first cruise and so i didn't really know the protocols here. This just reminds me why i prefer to book through the cruise line rather than travel agent as i wasn't happy with him. He was the one who insisted it had to be a guarantee in the first place. I assumed it was because i was travelling solo, but i'm not sure.
I'm considering a guaranteed interior on the caribbean princess for a good price but had a bad experience on holland america with an ocean guarantee before. Will princess ever upgrade rooms for a fee if you have a guarantee or are you stuck with your room?
Thanks. I believe i was under the kitchen as there was clanging all night, it was an ocean view room on holland america. i don't think its possible there was a worse room. This is for caribbean princess so will check princess board.
I’m not new to cruising, but once had a horrible experience with a guaranteed cabin. However there is a cruise i’m interested in that has 500 off, but is a guarantee. What have other experiences been like? I know i slept a lot better when i was able to choose my own cabin. Price is hard to beat though.
Just wondering if Norwegian has a black friday sale? I booked a cruise and i'd like to change dates, but now i assume i would have to pay the higher price on the new date. So, hoping prices drop even a little.
He had his heart surgery in june and wasn't planning to travel to next fall but given the slowness of the canadian health system i don't even know if it will be considered stable by then from an insurance standpoint. Thanks though and i'll read the insurance thread. It seems like separate out of province insurance isn't offered anyways, although i may suggest they ask bcaa.
My parents may have to travel in canada as my dad is still having tests due to my dad’s heart condition but they are wondering if they could get out of province insurance instead of the global travel insurance. I found a cruise where all the ports are in canada except the last port so i thought maybe they could leave early to stay in canada. But would the cruise ship have canadian or american doctors on it so they need the global travel insurance anyways?
Just a note i did get a better deal on a cruise with a princess cruise consultant instead of online. The problem is there is high turnover and they seem to disappear!
A belated thanks for your post. It seems like most caribbean cruises go to amber cove so was wondering what was there. However, i do notice most tours do say moderate. I'm not really keen to walk down a steep hill.
Thanks everyone. Glad to see this thread still active. I'm still deciding! I have signed up for a mexican cruise but still drawn to the caribbean cruises. However which ports to choose is confusing with the caribbean. The one i see for a good price goes to grand turk, san juan and amber cove.
Thanks, good idea to have an open mind. I’d be going in march, i presume at a busy time. I am in a studio cabin so perhaps the benefit outways the drawback.
Thanks. I may take the epic yet at some point so your comments will not go to waste! It still seems to have the most reasonable price to go to the caribbean (this includes other cruise lines) Sorry to take the thread off track. I did book early despite my name but i had a bad experience with a horrible cabin booked at the last minute before so i am cautious.
