Yes its possible it wasn't covid, as the covid had finished and then i got the cough. My point was just that if they remove the cancelling due to covid more people will go on the cruise while sick and I still think that's true. I am aware some people don't care about this.
I'm wondering if americans spend more overall and that's why other countries aren't getting as good a deal? I can see Canadians being cheaper than americans due to the exchange rate when it comes to excursions/drink packages etc.
I don't think its in their best interest to not refund people if they have covid. My concern is that more people will go on the cruise when they have covid as they don't want to lose the money.
Did everyone receive this email? It says there are new covid policies but i couldn’t find them. I’d appreciate you share if you do. I only found it in shore excursions. Let us know if an eagle eye caught anything else pertinent.
Thanks Mick, yes i am inclined to keep my room as i may get a worse room, plus it looks from the person that posted that i didn’t get a good deal with price of royal up. As you say, i can use the money elsewhere.
I have an interior room 4029 so i guess my best chance would be to go for an ocean view room. Still i know from my experience on holland america that even ocean rooms could be bad. I believe i’m in the center but i hope i’m not too close to being below the theatre.
Good to know. I had a bad experience with guarantee cabin on holland america where i was put below the kitchen and it was absolutely horrible. That's why i'm hesitant about these royal up deals. Better to just keep the cabin you've chosen.
Also does room service cost money on royal caribbean? Thinking it would be nice to sit out on the balcony and eat. I thought i read you could get covered trays at windjammer.
With royal up, are solos paying the double per person amount? I assume so, but just checking. Also i'm not really clear how royal up works. If you choose to participate are you forced to choose the room they offer or can you choose based on where that room is? I have an interior room but its in a good location and i don't know if i want to switch in a different category and get something worse. Also do you bid based on the prices they give you or can you go lower.
I booked my cruise in canadian a year ago and the exchange rate has dropped since then. When i paid my tips in canadian it worked out a dollar cheaper for the canadian rate price. Still what annoys me is there are often better sales on the US site, so i’m inclined to pay in US if i don’t book so early.
Thank you. For some reason i am having trouble getting excited about fisherman’s tour. Yet being a slow eater i’m not sure about crab feast either. I’ll think about it.
Thanks Wolfie! For people who have done both excursions does anyone have a recommendation to do the george inlet crab feast vs. Bering crab fisherman’s tour. The advantage of the crab feast is i’d be able to do the tongass museum exhibit. Because i got a good deal on fisherman’s tour, cost is not an issue.
Just to add i should have time to go to creek street and married man’s trail with both excursions.
