I just realized that the ICON and other new ships like the NCL Prima have an opposite angled bow with the water line part jutting further out than the top. It also seems fuller. Is there a nautical reason for this that has just been discovered after thousands of years of shipbuilding or just a standout design idea?

At present there are no disruptions in any region. However, Oct 2023 is way off and nobody knows what will happen next week anywhere and especially in Israel. Like the other posters said just check before you cruise and if there is anything serious Royal will let you know. Enjoy your trip to Israel

If it was $120 pp from the ship, then that is a great price. I hope Royal has something similar

We had the Blairs (John the CD and Katrina the AM ) on the WB Brilliance Panama Canal cruise in April. On the last morning John was wearing an apron and helping out in the Windjammer and Katrina was helping out all over the ship. They were a very visible, talented and accessible couple.

I am interested in doing this tour in December. Has anyone had any experience with them? Also with the logistics of getting from the Cruise port to the ferry and then the ferry to Playa del Carmen to meet their transportation. How many hours does the whole thing take and is it worth it? Royal usually supplies the items as mentioned by Cruisegirl1. Depending on the ship there can also be full Reform or Conservative Prayer books. The service itself is self led and can be of any denomination depending on the leader and the makeup of the group.

I few years ago I took the helicopter tour in Skagway . There was only one company, and the ship of course used them There was only a $10 difference between them and the payment terms were better from the ship so I used them

As I mentioned above there are many Kosher rules. Plates, pot and utensils that were used for non Kosher food especially if heated cannot be used by strictly observant people. Therefore, all pre prepared Kosher meals are served with disposable plates and utensils. They can be "Koshered" and become useable by following various procedures, and that what was done by the supervising Rabbi at the Solarium Bistro. Once that was done any non-Kosher food that comes in contact with the Kitchen equipment would void the Kosher status, hence the need to close the SB to outside non kosher food.
