The rest of it is window dressing for the passenger.

The rest of it is a record for the passenger of the items they pre-booked or paid for.  It shows excursions, dining and beverage packages, etc.  For some this is GOLD as it helps them figure out what they're supposed to get if something isn't as they expect.  It's also something they can bring to guest services as proof that as of their check-in date they had something on record as owed to them.

Of course, a PDF of that document (as I suggested having on hand) would work for those purposes, but some luddites won't deal with that...

Look at the appetizer section.  It's been cut a LOT.  Many of my old favorites are gone.

I found a pic, looks like 4 of 11 items are gone (though not comparing the same exact menu) so I guess there is a difference.

Not that I know of unless that's the customization option. We started with the BOGO offer and then I over thought who was in control of my flights and asked to customize. Still a great deal.

Did you pay extra?  Some have been getting an email with an offer for a new add-on to the BOGO that costs extra and allows selection of flights.  Otherwise, BOGO SHOULD be with no selection by you.

maximum occupancy of the go karts is one.

Maximum occupancy of the SINGLE carts is one.  There are doubles for the doubles sessions so parents can bring a kid that isn't eligible to drive.

I rode the carts on Bliss.  I think I came in last, or very close.  Just stay to the right, and the speedier ones will pass on the left.

I did them on the Bliss as well.  I got stuck behind someone that thought the entire width was theirs, and they were not going as fast as I wanted to.

Solo usually means “not double”. Not that you run by yourself.

Agreed, I can't imagine the cost per ride if they let you run on the track by yourself!!

I may be misremembering, but I thought that I could access the bar code on the app when we boarded.

I didn't try on my last cruise, I just had the PDF on my phone with a paper backup in my backpack.

what i do object to is having to watch the safety drill and then having ncl sending continuous e-mail reminding you to watch the safety video, AND the worst cut of all, is after watching the video, and getting the constant reminders, they force you to go down to the assigned muster station

For my cruise in January I don't recall getting bombarded for the videos like I did for my cruise in 2022 (my 2023 cruise was during the short time we had in-person muster drills).

But think about this regarding having to visit the muster station when you board - what about first-time cruisers?  Sure, for those of us that have sailed a few times it's relatively easy to figure out, but for a first-timer it's a good idea to guide them to a place they can become familiar with as THE place to go when those whistles go off.  It's all of 2 or 3 minutes, get over it...

I'm not sure how they handle walk-ups but I know they have taken them in the past.  I suspect they take your cabin # and let NCL know and it gets charged to your onboard account

This EXACT thing happened to me and my sister in 2019.  We had transfers booked and paid for (sailing from LA), we should have been on the list.  The agent took names and cabin numbers when we checked in for the transfer and the next day we had charges to our cabins for the transfer.  It took a couple visits to GS to get the charges reversed.

    • Height requirements: Minimum is 55" (1.40m). Maximum is 82" (2.08m)
    • Weight requirements: No minimum weight. Maximum weight is 265lbs (120kgs)

I considered responding with this information, but this is where the confusion lies - it doesn't specify if this is for drivers only or for all including riders in the doubles (which wouldn't make a ton of sense)

Possibly will need to fly in a day before, due to very few flights that get in before 2 to Miami.

They could also fly you to FLL.  It's not a HORRIBLE trip to Miami from there, it took a little over an hour in an Uber between 3 and 4 PM (so HEAVY traffic).
