  1. Same. I have now sailed on 11 cruises free of charge and adding up all my W/L for these 3 years I'm down a total of $2470. 3x Veranda, 1x Concierge, 7x Aqua Class. That's a win in my book. I'm a lowly Amethyst, offers have been good until now. I guess I could use the interior cabin offers, try move-up to AQ and just cancel if it doesn't go through.
  2. The points for this sailing were just credited. Nothing is quite as motivating as reading "2185 points to ZENITH tier". 🤣
  3. Pretty unattractive offers unless you're living in South Florida.
  4. It's infinite, really. But there is no need to spend 5k/cruise. That's overkill.
  5. I took 2x 24 cans onto the Millennium in April. Nobody gave a damn.
  6. For the maximum effect, yes. Otherwise, there is also a bench in front of the window without infrared panels. I'm really not a big sauna type because it's usually too hot for me but the way they built the "DESERT" room is very comfortable.
  7. Gambling on cruise ships doesn't contribute to any public purse though, and there is no regulation of the tables/slots either.
  8. To be fair, the breakage is usually ~ 20% on slots over a longer play period. Factoring in wins and bonuses. Basically for $1000 bankroll you can have ~ $5000 coin in until it's all gone. If you win a jackpot then of course you can get lucky. But if you get a free Aqua Class Voyage for that that's still $6000 less than those revenue pax pay.
  9. And even more on slots (vacuum cleaners). If you bet just $2/spin that's ~ $25-$30/minute. Scale that up to hours and that's real money the casino potentially slurps up.
  10. That was communicated to me following an email to the Executive Offices when it first broke. Doesn't mean it won't be implemented or developed later but for the moment it was a pilot project on Equinox.
  11. Because I'd never EVER pay the prices, Celebrity asks for their cruises.
  12. Depends on how much the casino rooms would bring in revenue. If you have a player who has a high turnover of funds then he might end up paying more than the average revenue passenger.
  13. The casino is vape & smoke free on Celebrity. That Equinox trial is pretty much over. Casino rates and comps were pretty much worth it for me during the last 4-5 years. I didn't pay for a single cruise out of pocket, and I'm up on W/L.
  14. I loved cruising during Covid, and that was the time I really got into it. Seriously hate full ships, especially during holiday periods with so many families on board. I think I'm back to land-based trips for a while.
  15. Rather than a veranda with the option to upgrade to Aqua Class for $10/day, all I get now are complimentary Inside cabins for up to 9 days. Edge for Alaska in 2024 is not even available. Told them to shove it.
  16. On Edge Class, the infrared sauna "DESERT" is in the Thermal Suite only. I loved it on the Nordic itinerary last week, really made a difference. I often went twice a day (in AQ).
  17. I find that completely ridiculous. So basically, your status for which you paid tens of thousands of dollars isn't even worth 10% to the company compared to Joe Schmoe from the street who books his first cruise. This alone shows you that it's completely worthless to attain loyalty status with Celebrity. I would have bought the Premium package while it was on sale but I was so annoyed that I didn't buy anything. Paid for two drinks out of pocket and everything else came free during HH.
  18. On Upgrades, maybe but for the recent sales, they always denied me, so I didn't end up buying any package.
  19. I'd also check current sales, they are often cheaper (unless you have booked Always Included) and the Elite discounts can't be combined with sales anyway.
  20. I wouldn't say that. Not even close to most. Maybe 20-25%. Of course YMMV.
