You can’t use your phone number to receive calls or texts - it only works if you use a app or service that uses WiFi (data) and not cellular

That’s iMessages that works via WiFi, no external texts to your mobil number can be received WhatsApp works of course also with WiFi as it does but need cellular connection

That was a super easy disembarkation process lines at IC for a quick breakfast weren’t too long, compared to the coffee line (got a double espresso on ice the night before and put it in the fridge, was still in parts with ice) Then walked my luggage out by myself (easy when staying on deck 5 as no elevator is needed), bit of waiting time before the escalator/elevator down, but luggage was already starting to arrive at 7.45 am, Face ID at arrival worked even for non US passport holders, no line at all lyft to the beach area worked out at 11 $ with a bit of waiting time - no issue at all, thought it was a lot more expensive with 5 other ships in port this morning

Adding some of the starters from yesterday - and my fave Key Lime dessert from the online ordering menu (aswell iced coffee - my standard order was a double espresso over ice with almond milk, but they also have the iced flat white version with extra shot and nutmeg & cinnamon topping) it’s close to been to cold up in the shade as there is a very strong breeze going on, but much nicer then too hot

I was surprised how not busy the sundeck was compared to our last sea day, easy to get sunchairs even at close to 11 am (including on in the shade) also I felt sorry for the Captain who had to miss the presentation because of his duties as master of the ship and now they have re-scheduled another one this afternoon

i‘m one of those who prefers wearing a K95 mask in crowded space like the elevator, waiting for the restaurants and theaters for example. I didn’t noticed any outside tables infront of cabins aswell, but a lot more of people are coughing compared to the start of the cruise. as we departed yesterday a women next to me told me that she had been sick the last couple of days and finally felt well enough to leave the cabin, and did hinted that it could have been more then a cold ..still was out and about coughing without a mask I also catched a cold (A/C to blame for that) but was testing daily in the morning with at home tests for Covid & flue before heading out and requested a private table to not spread my gems

Took an early 7.30 am bus to the beach up north (5 $ return, tickets can be bought at the bus terminal) lovely spot, not much going on until maybe 10.30 am or so, beach chairs can be rented for 10 $ Loved watching the birds fishing

The sun is sort of beating down today (82 F) with not much wind, so I moved down to Deck 7 as I also usually enjoy the closer look out onto the waves the pools had been busy this morning, including lotus pool. When I was up there it seems that the sanctuary wasn’t that busy at all

It’s more then the 30 minutes they mention and will someone really spend hours in there?

They are super busy at the sun deck with removing the towels and placing the cards on the sunchairs, let’s see if they keep it up during the day

Did a great tour with island experience to the food market, Hindu temple and a quick drive city tour

not easy to say - a lot don’t have the plus package to be honest I personally love it - had a bit of a cold (tested daily negative for Covid with at home tests) and loved the ability to order ginger lemon tea via room service, have my daily double espresso on ice with almond milk and a couple of cocktails at night also WiFi works pretty well - even streaming videos (and hopefully F1 later this week) thanks to starlink if the package is worth it really depends in my opinion how important WiFi is for you and how many cocktails you drink. The wine isnt the best, but some places make some pretty good cocktails for example. Think it’s down to math, specially if one can get a good plus included cruise deal

have to be honest I only picked out the cherries- it’s def a super sweet American cake, since it’s included in the plus I might try to other two aswell and just eat a bit to see if at least one tastes good same with the icecream - was able to just get a spoon of the gelato and it’s just not real gelato in my opinion and my calories are spend better elsewhere (like the key lime room service menu bit - that cream is soo good)

Also found the new plus dessert cakes - had to search for the cherrys at the Black Forest version (the cake wasn’t for my liking as it seems to be partly still frozen) ordered at the IC and the cake showed up 10 minutes later

Lovely warm welcome at the port today - I decided to join an island experience excursion which picked up at the Hyatt next door. Sadly there happened a mix up and another couple got in another tours car, so it turned into a very private tour to central Trinidad to a local food market and then onwards to some temples. We unannounced stopped for lunch (i don’t mind paying for the guide for lunch but like a heads up and also don’t like that I got local currency back that I couldn’t use otherwise and it seems that the guide went after lunch to get a recipe) before a short drive trough the city with a stop at the view point Port of Spain felt a lot safer then expected to be honest - but it’s clear that not many locals are walking around the sights aswell

Enjoyed a private organized tour via CruiseCritic with Stan (8 people / 75 $ per person including any fees & drinks) from JnJ Tours (apart from the fact I had to remind him of the included rum tasting) after drop off I headed via the tunnel to the harbor area before rain moved in and I headed straight back to ship prices for spices def had been better up in the mountains and I was able to pay via CC and local currency at the chocolate & rum place

So after the Maître called me yesterday about my comments left on the feedback form a out the long waiting lines at one of the dinning rooms the chef called in the late afternoon hours about my feedback of lack of variety at breakfast. he clearly mention that it’s out of his hands as the menu is done at corporate (which I know) and of course all feedback will be passed on but love how they take the feedback forms serious, so def fill out the form. Never received any sort of follow up after any feedback form

and total opposite experience - switched from there to DaVinci

Had a lovely boat trip with silver moon today - compared to other ships we saw there was ample of space with just 12/13 passengers. Snorkeling was a bit crowded as everyone was in the same spot, but perfect conditions and spotted some turtles and lots of fish, also even with snorkeling gear perfect conditions to spot the shipwreck

which unrest in Europe? Israel is part of the Middle East and no cruise line will stop there as long as the current state continues
