The wifi is Starlink (Elon Musk) satellite service. Outstanding. I have premium wifi. Wife and I share it. We have basic included and it worked, but premium so much better.

They are in the bird family. They are called cormorants. Our ship is FULL. Will give you update later.

As I have said many times, options are a good thing. If some want to pay the outrageous prices that ship is demanding, good for them. This size ship has many drawbacks, limited ports of calls, no tender ports and it goes on and on.

Temps this morning are a littel warmer than we expected. Have not turned my phone on but I would guess in high 40’s and sun is shining brightly.

Last night it became pretty windy, as my friend posted in post 164, there is a pretty good site that you can see the winds anywhere (more specifically where you are going to or from). When I zoomed in on this and our proximity in the world, I can understand better what we went through. While the seas were def higher, it was truly the wind that buffeted us around. Assuming is is the norm, when we leave tonite, we will have to go thru this again (and when we go thru Drake’s passage). It will be interesting.

I was making a comment on the ship. Since the VAST majority of cruisers have NOT been on it, we can only go by what we see. I cruise many lines as well. Currently on Celebrity Eclipse close to Antartica. Does that make my view of what I think of Icon more or less? Not in my estimation. I tried the Oasis when she was new and posted a review both here and on the RCCL site. I was not in awe. There is a reason we have not been back on RCCL. Food is subjective. Entertainment is as well. On Oasis we got to see a 2nd rate road version of a broadway play….wow. You do not have to agree with my views. Lastly, I was not being snippy. The Icon is a monstrosity, the external views are not pretty. Much more in line with Epic in my perspective. The front of the ship is ugly, and so is the back. RCCL seems to go to extremes to set the tone in every new build. If it works for you, good. Not for me…. One last comment. Icon is butt ugly.

If I ever on the inside, then I will opine on that. From the outside, my post stands. For a ship that cost that much it is….BUTT UGLY
