how was upgraded wifi? I’ve heard you say it’s not great- I’ll have to check in with work throughout… I’ve been on the bliss twice, both with fas+ unlimited Wi-Fi w/streaming. Obviously not starlink, but wasn’t too bad all things considered. Was on a 15 day bliss pc few weeks ago and took some random speed tests, results below. For the most,part the only troubles I had were streaming video (nfl, Hulu+). Could usually get streaming to work but sometimes took some patience. Internet browsing, email, vpn, etc was usually fine.

Wow that was an easy disembark. Self-assisted, got in line at 0730, off ship and was outside terminal by 0800; LAX at 0900. Flights at 1430. Few hours to relax in the lounge. Had heard some horror stories of LA disembarks after pc cruises; much better to have hours to relax at the airport than to rush around at the beginning of a fairly long travel day. edit: they did have facial recognition at customs. Think we got through before the flood of pax hit, interested in hearing if others had the same experience today.

Those in our roll call figured out Acapulco was going to be cancelled well in advance based on similar sailings in November, but afaik the first we heard about it officially from NCL was once we embarked. Even then there was a bit of confusion as some heard a rumor that we would stop, but not be allowed off ship. The official reason was hurricane damage. Extra sea day!

If you’re currently on a cruise (which is the only time I’ve seen/heard of this), you’ll need a vpn. Otherwise, not sure.

I’ve taken a few random speed tests on different days, times which may give you an idea of performance. These are all sea days I believe. edit: grabbed the screen cap of the speed test results while on 5g, however all results were obtained while on bliss Wi-Fi

Not op but on the bliss atm. No starlink, but found speeds to be ~6-13mps up, 2-7 down. Haven’t had a problem streaming football, Hulu+, etc.

Some of the haven aft suites connect to a balcony. Did a quick look and the numbers don’t seem tooo far apart.

I checked my invoice twice, $379 is what I paid for a 15 day sailing in Dec.

Were you able to snag a pass for your Dec cruise? Would love to have another iowegian around.

From what I was told by my TA, that is technically true they do not hold back passes for onboard purchase….but just because it shows sold-out online prior to cruise there may be more passes released at a later date for online sales.

I find a spot at/near the end of the slide and just set my stuff there; sunglasses, keycard, towel, shoes. It’ll be fine.

Booked 2 bedroom haven on encore 7 day from Miami in Dec 24 for $8008. I remember the price as when I was in school it was like the 3rd funniest thing you could type on a calculator.

Port of New Orleans for NCL can be a mess, especially with traffic snarls given how the cars are funneled through the area. Little bit of rain can make this much worse, or a big convention in the area, or no reason at all I have watched real-time as my Uber tried to enter the port area, went wrong direction, u-turns, traveling 1mph, couldn’t imagine doing that with a tight departing flight. Then the airport at NO, I thought, was deceptively large. Lines for tsa can be very long even for pre. It’s your bbq, but imo there’s too many things that could/probably will go wrong. Good luck.

Is there a consensus on service requests accompanied with voluntary renumeration? Does a little cash seem to help with “oh and I would love to have my cabin cleaned by noon if possible” or are those days gone?

I’m not a water snob by any means and have the unrefined palate of a peasant with a head cold. I can’t stand flow. There’s a sweet alkaline-ish taste that really makes one ponder how they can f something up so badly.
