I believe while Dream is in dry dock, they're making changes to the main pool area to be more like Magic/Breeze. I wish they would upgrade the the seating around the tables that are on the sides of the pool deck. It looks much nicer on Magic than what they currently have on Dream.

To get this kinda sorta back on topic......
Come on, Fascination!!!!!
Yes!
And Dream, too!
What better time really...Fresh out of dry dock; the addition of two new bars and the My Awesome Bar Program! (and just in time for my 10/20 cruise!) :)
-
But like any place where there are bars open all day, you may find one idiot that had too much to drink.
Like this guy on a RC ship? (My daughter actually found this video when she was looking for Mariner of the Seas videos before one of our cruises on her.)

Thanks for all the good tips here. Just changed my cabin from 7394 to a cove 2398 (I think). Either way it is a cove under the shore excurison area.
You will love your Cove balcony!

I too am guilty of thinking Carnival was nothing but a partying, Walmart of the Seas. For us it was RC or nothing. Then one of my friends thought it would be fun to do a short girl's cruise. At the time we were in our late 40's, and two of us brought our daughters who were in their early 20's. I told her to plan it and tell me what to book, and she chose a 4 nighter on Carnival Destiny. Oh the horror...Carnival and Destiny!
It turned out to be nothing like what I imagined. Yes, it's an older ship, and I had to get over the fact that it had no Promenade or Windjammer, but that would have been true of any other line. Sure, there were groups of people having lots of fun in the bars on board, but it turned out they were other groups of women, our age, having a ball! We sang in the piano bar, danced in the dance club, and sang karaoke. The food was very good and service exceptional.
Came home from that cruise and booked Dream, which was new at the time, for our family vacation that summer. Had a wonderful time. Again, never witnessed excessive partying; felt like any of our RC cruises, minus the Royal Promenade and WJ. :)
The ONLY excessive cruise drinking I've witnessed was on our 2007 RC cruise. We had booked an excursion in Cozumel through RC; I think it was called Afternoon Beach Break (all inclusive). Turns out they were serving minors at this beach, and one of them stood up on the bus ride back to the ship, and threw up in my friend's hair! (He was in the seat behind her) So it can happen on any cruise line.
We will still sail with RC, would love to try other lines as well, but have found that Carnival is pretty much the same product. They have a lot of nice itineraries out of Florida too; not just the usual eastern/western. I think people who have never tried Carnival are missing out.

43 Days until our cruise on Carnival Dream (It feels so good to finally say NEXT MONTH!) :D
260 Days until we sail on Freedom of the Seas! :D

Have they taken the Vidalia Onion Tart off of the menu??

Thanks for all the great info on this thread. Counting down the days!
Going on the Dream in December with my husband, sister-in-law, oldest daughter, and youngest daughter and her husband. My Dad might be coming to. We have to look into how much extra a room is that he would book as a solo cruiser and see if we can talk him into coming.
Have not sailed on a ship this big before. Am a little concerned about how crowded it will feel in the public areas and how long it will take to tender.
Also, concerned about the comments of this ship rocking a lot. Two of the people going with us have never cruised before, and one of my daughters gets motion sickness fairly easy. Was hoping this large ship would be more stable. Will just remind her to bring Bonine.
I would recommend taking Bonine or Dramamine. Our youngest daughter gets motion sickness very easily, even in car rides. She's never been sick before on a cruise ship. She did get sick on a catamaran ride back to the pier from Dunn's River Falls, but the wind had picked up and it was very choppy, and she hadn't taken her Bonine that day.
If you take Bonine, it's preventative, so start the day before you sail, and continue to take it throughout the cruise.

Love your review and pictures. Breeze is a beautiful ship!

Nice pics!!! We are staying in the cove balcony on the Feb 23rd cruise also on the starboard side. What room did you have? 179 days is for ever!
Brian
We were in 2289 back in 2010, and for our upcoming Dream cruise we'll be in 2260.
We really enjoyed having a cove.

Okay this is a picture test! And it looks like it works! :) Picture from our 2010 Dream cruise. Figured this would be a good place to try it out.

90 days until we sail on Carnival Dream and 308 to go before we sail on Freedom of the Seas!
I'm not used to having two countdowns at once...great feeling!

I believe it was $150pp and $250 for a couple.
Thank you! I think I'm going to treat myself this time. I've recently lost some weight and plan on using the gym while we cruise. It will be the first time I've used the on board gym since I've been cruising. Might as well add some spa time to my work outs!
It isn't so much about the weight gain during that week -- I figure it should come off pretty easily -- I'm more worried about losing the stamina I worked so hard to build. I don't want to come home and have my power walks be as hard as they were when I started.

Does anyone know the price for the week long spa pass on Dream?
