Guilty of both, watching and yelling. Favorite port to watch is Cozumel. :D
Oh Cozumel! The runners with their silly balloon hats! :D

166 Until we sail on Carnival Dream.
Just over a year until our Freedom of the Seas cruise. Seems like forever!
-
We sailed on the same ship, RC Mariner, 4 years in a row! We switched the itineraries from year to year. Loved the ship, and it was convenient to sail out of Port Canaveral and tie that in with a visit to my parents, who live about an hour away.
We'll be sailing Carnival Dream for the second time this October. Love the ship and got a great rate.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a great review of Dream. Your pictures are absolutely beautiful! Makes me wish we didn't have to wait until October to sail.

I've been checking out Nachi Cocum for an upcoming girl's cruise March 3. I know we won't be looking for any water sports; mainly want to chill on the beach with cocktails. It sounds like Nachi Cocum would be perfect for us. I'll be in Cozumel again in June with my husband and our daughters; 16 and 20, so this will be a good way for me to check it out before the family cruise.
My question is, for travel to Nachi Cocum, do you just get a cab at the pier? Also, do you pay when you get there, or do you book in advance?

One thing about that second picture... you get a real good look at those Cove balconies... thats pretty cool....
Agreed! I was excited to see people out on the cove balconies. That's what we've booked for June! :D

Thanks for such a detailed review. We may be in the same cabin as you were; we have 7618 on Mariner sailing on 7/19. :D

Also if you want to save a couple of extra $$$ buy it after you set sail otherwise you will have to florida state tax.
Another good tip! Thanks! :D

Okay...that does it. I can't take it anymore...suddenly I have the taste for a Mimosa and I have to leave for work in 10 minutes! I'll daydream about the champagne bar and punch cards while I'm walking dogs today. :D
Thanks for posting the pics!

:p Champagne card, you say? YOU JUST MADE MY DAY! Thank you for this valuable tip! ;)
Made mine too! Another valuable tip from the CC forum!

Another question about "the card". :)
Let's say you love Mimosas and Bellinis, but you don't care for the others. Can you order what you like, or is the card only good for one punch for each type of champagne cocktail ordered?
-
i didnt know the champagne drinks existed (aside from mimosas) before this thread
While we were on Mariner in June (I didn't know about the card!), the bartender in the champagne bar was soooo nice. I don't remember his name, but he would ask me what I liked...what my tastes were, and then make a champagne cocktail for me. That was my favorite part of the day...Champagne Bar before dinner.
-
Oh and that's for 10 champagne drinks by the way.
So what you're saying is if I buy the card, I can go to the Champagne Bar, and order any type of champagne cocktail and use the card? There was one on the Mariner that I loved -- had a hint of peach to it. Also, can you use it to order Mimosas in the dining room? Does it work at any bar on board or in the dining room? And one more question. :) Can you order champagne drinks in other places on board than the Champagne Bar? (I never tried on our last cruise)
We'll also be traveling with people who love champagne, and I've acquired quite the taste for bubbly cocktails recently, too. :)

It was our first cruise, but they were wonderful!
On Mariner of the Seas. Mahesh from India, and our assistant waiter, Leonardo from the Phillipines. We loved them both! Leonardo was so friendly, and would chat with us during the day while he was working in the Windjammer.

They're great cabins, but try to get one that's not under the galley.
