  1. Sorry, one last question, can I book specialty restaurants prior to boarding if I purchase a package or no package. Thanks.
  2. Hello, we are well seasoned cruisers who have been at it for the past 35 years, many lines, many times. With that said, we are brand new to MSC. I have many questions I can't find answers to on the MSC site, hoping you can help. We are on the Meraviglia out of Port Canaveral for 4 days. 1. We have 530-730 pm dining time, what does this mean? Is this like anytime dining?? We can arrive anytime between these two times. What dining room we go to? 2. How does the boarding process work, due to COVID? Do we do what the other lines do and book a boarding time?? 3. What time do we have to be out of our cabins on disembarkment, we arrive at 7 am. 4. Do we put our on-board account info online prior to boarding? 5. Private Island, has anyone been? Looking for intel on the island. 6. Room service, how does it work (yes, I get room service, but what is the cost (per item, per order) and do we get continental breakfast for free. I booked the Fantastica level, which includes breakfast in the cabin? What is that all about. Thank you for all your anticipated responses. Looking to break out of our typical cruise lines.
  3. I was just on the Legend in June of 2022, no issues whatsoever with the ship. Yes, its a bit old, but was very clean and ready to go. We loved our Legend trip.
  4. Would love to hear from the original poster El_6 about how her trip was on the ship other than tendering issues. I have read your posts in the past and found them to be fair and interesting. Any thoughts, updates??
  5. If your son is on your booking (Gold) he can come with you.
  6. I read somewhere there are no customs in Dover?? You just walk off the boat! Hope that's true.
  7. Wi-Fi was great, no issues with streaming YouTube if you have the highest level of internet. Serenity, you had to be there by 630/7 am to get a chair. It was a bit of a nightmare. Cruised June 2022.
  8. No specific areas, but very easy check in. We showed our documents and were on the ship in under 15 minutes. BLT is wonderful for getting on and off the ship.
  9. I am currently on the Legend, I will say, it's me and my party as well as the staff who are wearing masks, all others are acting as if there is no pandemic/endemic going on. I have been on 2 other cruises since November of 2021, followed all protocol (my personal protocol) , and have had no issue with COVID upon getting off the ship. There is no doubt in my mind folks will exit this ship with COVID. There are too many folks crammed into elevators, food lines, casino, et al not have COVID cases. My suggestion to you is to mask up any time you are in motion on the ship, bring hand sanitizer and use it any time you handle anything prior to eating or drinking and try and social distance when possible. It can be done, just like on land, but you need to believe in the process, it does work.
  10. Thanks folks!!! NO laundry for me for 7 days, one bag a day (well, almost, lol).
  11. We will turn platinum this upcoming cruise. There are two of us in the cabin, both platinum, does that mean we both get the benefit of laundry award? We are on a 7 day with 3 bags of wash and fold, do we get 6 bags??? As you can see, laundry is very important to me (or should I say NOT doing laundry is very important to me), lol! 😅
  12. There is no Certificate of Recovery from your doc needed. Here is what Carnival says on the website: 'A Document of Recovery is accepted from both fully vaccinated and unvaccinated guests (with a Carnival-approved exemption) and consists of a paper or electronic copy of the positive viral test result from a certified laboratory (dated no more than 90 days prior to the sailing date)."
  13. Listen folks, I am good. Went to Walgreens, got a + test result which are 12 days out from sailing. I now have my proof of recovery. I had no intentions of blindly listening to the folks on cruise critic. This use to be a fun and helpful site, been a member since 06. Not so much anymore.🙄
  14. I'm in the same boat (pun intended). I did test positive and did get my test at a Walgreens. I am 12 days out (with no symptoms) from my sail date and good to go. There is no place to say we need a Dr. note on the website. What does that really prove? We called the Dr and they told us to stay home and self-monitor our symptoms (which were mild bc we are 4x vacced). Dr really did nothing for us. So, why the Dr. note?
  15. I have a cruise on June 5, 2022. I had COVID beginning May 16, 2022, and have fully recovered. I have been boosted 2x, so I have 4 vaccines. I did a home rapid test to diagnose my COVID. What does this mean for my pre cruise COVID test? Do I need to take one? I do not have proof of the positive COVID. Thoughts?
