  1. This..pre-purchase Cheers, steakhouse, whatever you can and the on-board won't be much. People on the Facebook groups complaining their holds are $900 plus.
  2. Use gift cards or cash account. Otherwise your debit/bank account will have holds that can take 5 or more business days to come off.
  3. This might help https://profcruise.com/carnival-bar-menus-and-drink-prices-2023/
  4. I wasn't planning on it but I'm thinking my wife would use it. I read that balconies on the 14th do not have shade. That would be great for nighttime but horrible during the day (cruise is in June)
  5. Panorama- got an offer to move from Balcony #9452 to Cloud 9 Balcony #14239. The upgrade is $264... on the fence about it being worth it. Anyone stay in a Spa balcony and is it worth it?
  6. Same in Arizona. The Sun Cities have easy access to dispensaries (drive thru). Arizona is medical and recreational use.
  7. Actually no it is not. Seems like it is routine and should be taking place regularly. We should be under the assumption that it's US Customs and TSA doing these checks and not Carnival doing them. I doubt they are just checking Carnival ships...
  8. I would need to see data regarding this but you are correct. Too high of a concentrate can cause paranoia.
  9. Interesting topic. I'm sure the fights on board are directly caused from drinking too much as smoking too much weed does not make one fight. With that said, the only way the can enforce this policy is too bite hard in terms of fines or not even allowing people on the ship if caught trying to board with it. Personally I do not care if someone smokes weed if done in the proper smoking location. I plan to smoke cigars on my next cruise but will respect others.
  10. no, it appears that was one isolated incident.
  11. I had ours custom made from an Amazon vendor
  12. I was charged. For the Steakhouse and JiJi's
  13. Study the deck plans and find the nearest bar to your room. Every morning of my June trip I plan to have a spiked coffee on the balcony so it's a trip from deck 9 to deck 5
  14. more of a scarcity issue vs cost. I haven't noticed an increase in Whiskey prices but because some bottles are rare, the secondary market (shady liquor stores/people selling on Facebook) has spiked
  15. Was this on Carnival? And did you tip well before moving to the higher end pours? I can see a bartender hooking up the good tippers
  16. Try this website for current menus https://profcruise.com/carnival-menus-2023/
  17. reviews seem good from YouTube vloggers
  18. Looking at the menu - a few Rums, Tequila, and a few Scotch. I think the highest priced Whiskey is Blanton's at $15 (steakhouse) or $9.95 at Guys Pig...I do not know why two different prices on the same product. I saw a scotch at $28...that might be the highest single pour they have https://profcruise.com/carnival-bar-menus-and-drink-prices-2023/#smoke
  19. you do get it but there are reports that you may have to ask for it.
  20. I suspect if you tip the bar tender often the drinks pours will get heavier.
