  1. Correct, no reason to buy the Wine Package if you have Cheers as glasses of wine up $20 are included and you can buy a bottle at 25% off.
  2. Yeah, I know. I want don't the hassle of carrying 4 water bottles to the room or running out of water in the middle of the night. I'm not drinking sink water
  3. Cruise cash is capped at $500 per cabin. If you have more than that (gift card) you can add it once on board.
  4. Men can metabolize 1 standard drink per hour. Binge drinking is why people fall off...not because they hit their limit over the course of a long day. You mix in water and Gatorade and not slam 15 in 3 hours and one should be ok.
  5. Unfortunately Virgin is still very limited in their ports so that can't be a yearly line for us
  6. I would think Celebrity is going to have a hard time stealing away the younger/party crowd that Carnival and Virgin attracts.
  7. Per John Heald it's 2 drinks. I'm sure Carnival allows captains to adjust this to 1 or even zero drinks. Heald said that “once you have purchased two drinks,” your Sail & Sign card will effectively become useless. “Until you check in, you will not be allowed to use that card again,” whether for alcohol, coffee, or items in the shops.
  8. That's new about the buckets. For my June cruise I was able to preorder two 4 packs of beer (IPA) for the room (2 is the limit I guess) even though I have Cheers. You have to agree to drink the beer in the room or in the main dining room only (Yeti's are worth bringing).
  9. I am that guy who doesn't like to wear matching shirts. I can do it on embarkation for a few hours
  10. Yeah, I wouldn't even pack a speaker to be honest.
  11. The ship isn't the issue, it's the ports as everyone has stated. I'm sorry that traveling is so difficult for people who need service animals.
  12. True, but I probably like that stuff as well...just not at 3am. But I was joking, I would never even take a speaker on vacation.
  13. You mean I can't play Slayer and Metallica out on the balcony at 3 am?
  14. Guys in Phoenix is good but not great. I'll eat the free burger and fries but prefer the Trash Can Nachos that they serve in Pig & Anchor (now I'll be sad if you tell me they no longer serve these)
  15. I also used AARP gift cards to purchase Cheers and used the left over balance for in room purchase/delivery of water and a 4 pack of their IPA beer. Yes, I ordered beer for the room even though we have Cheers...lol
  16. You can check your Carnival gift card balances here https://carnival.ourgiftcards.com/checkbalance
  17. no problem, pretty crazy that this is a thing but there is a lot of instability in this world.

  19. Vans are quite fashionable and are in style for formal settings. I also wear a size 13 so I do not pack dress shoes either. It's too much to lug around for 1 night (we do the steakhouse on the first formal night). Also agree that it's impossible to keep all the clothes wrinkle free. I buy Cubavera Golf polos which hold up very well against wrinkles but their linen shirts do require a date with an iron.
  20. Some FTTF spots just opened up for June 17th - Panorama. It sold out and I was monitoring but have decided to pass on it
  21. I think it's more marketing than PC. There are brands that market zero proof as opposed to non acholic or virgin
  22. Non alcoholic beer can have up to 0.5 percent alcohol. Not sure about zero proof drinks since they can make that with just the juice and sweet stuff. I would assume zero proof means no alcohol since they allow kids to have them.
