  2. you are going to have to deal with it sooner or later. Best to get it over with and cross your fingers they don't screw it up. Ask for a confirmation when you are on the phone. Don't hang up until you receive it.

  4. friends of ours did the status match after booking and when they called to get the 5% discount it was automatically added along with rebooking the cruise at the current price. @Two Wheels Only provided an email to get it corrected and said to give them about 10 days so they are in a holding pattern.

  7. The mention of the bloody marys reminded me of the one morning I went to the buffet for breakfast and they had a cart setup just for bloody marys and picked and chose what you wanted in it. Delish!
  8. If you think Carnival is lax in enforcing their policies you are in for a rude awakening on MSC.
  9. On Meraviglia it was not dressy at all. Wore shorts to dinner every night except for the Gala night. I don't like dressy anymore.
  10. I only said 3 weeks because you were really giving them the benefit of the doubt with the refund timeline. lol
  11. agreed usually takes 24-48 hours. I've done it about 4 times. very quick. That's one of the few things they seem to get right a good percentage of the time.

  13. NP I can't my eye on this every day as you never know what's going to happen. MSC doesn't do things like other cruise lines so you have to know all the nuances, which I'm still learning. Once on the ship it gets better although there were some aspects of our last cruise that started off that cruise on a sour note.
  14. The ships weren't sitting idle during covid. While they weren't bringing in revenue they were still out and about thus the big deficit cruise lines endured during covid having to keep filling the ships with fuel and provisions for the skeleton crews.

  16. I was just on the MSC after reading your post since I am booked on her for 2 weeks starting on the 14th but I don't see it listed as Western. I see it listed as Puerto Plato, San Juan, and Nassau. On another note on this cruise. Friends of ours who are going with us called to get their Voyager discount on the cruise. They sent the confirmation and lo and behold the discount was applied but the balance was now higher. Why is so hard for this company to pull off what should be an easy task?
  17. They told me one billing cycle. 6 weeks now still waiting patiently. I did cancel one once onboard and it was very easy. Went to the excursion desk, canceled, and received OBC within hours.
  18. This is the problem. We paid $200 port charges for our 11 day cruise. They give us 3 more extra days for canceling Ocean Cay on us, so now we have more ports so they are trying to charge for the increase in port charges. This after being told nothing will change.
  19. I hear ya about being unforgiving. I told my friend that. He said he was going to ask for some compensation for all the time he spent. I said they wont budge.
  20. Unfortunately not. I did on my just completed Meraviglia cruise but not this one.
  21. Well i guess they meant to the minute’ detail. Asking for your voyager discount negates everything? It’s too late not to push it, pandoras box has already been opened. Went from $1640, asking for the discount, and winding up with a price in the $1700’s. we will see what comes of the email that was sent that 2wheels only provided.
