  1. i am one of those people although i do read for several hours after the late "min show". the smoking area is another place i like to hang out at (i quit several years ago, but i still smoke on vacation).
  2. i shared an inside cabin (and a club balcony) with my sister AND elderly father. she slept on the pullman bed.
  3. no *****? I have had a couple of stats classes myself. 🙄
  4. yes there is, they both are in your cruise part of your cruise budget
  5. i am platinum with NCL, and the sailing experience is notably different (and not for the better) post COVID vs pre Covid. i for one do not care about room cleaning being reduced to once a day. but live entertainment i have noticed has suffered the most. no cirque du soleil no aerialists, no elements. food seems a bit tweaked down too. however it is probably all lines as they are all being crushed in covid debt. that said i still thing cruising is great value for the money.
  6. did you let your financial provider know where and when you were going?
  7. i do the same at the complementary Asian restaurant, i just go in and order the red bean pie/ green tea ice cream plate....so good. i walk in they try to hand me a dinner menu i am like no thanks.
  8. i did a month in Europe solo when i was 20, in the year 2000. this was pre smart phone. with a smart phone it (Europe) has zero challenge. i think for europe, cruise are more of a supplemental "treat" and free roming on your own is the way to go. renting a small car, setting you gps map on your phone to avoid freeways and setting out. such fun (i couldn't rent a car in 2000)
  9. Prima. i have never been on the prima, but i have been on the epic twice and it is my least favorite NCL i have sailed on.
  10. i personally think cagney's is SOOOOOOO overrated too.
  11. to the best of my knowledge only the prima class has the same menu all week, because of the food hall and whatnot. the rest of the fleet uses a different menu.
  12. NCL is as one waiter put it "pinching their pennies", this is understandable with $12,000,000,000 in long term covid debt. just the interest is probably cutting them deep.
  13. whether or not specialty dining is "worth it" is a personal value judgment. Myself even with free at sea and my platinum benefits i still would probably prepurchase one additional meal. however, i do enjoy dinner in the main dining room too. restaurants that price "A la Carte": with the specialty dining certificates meals are redeemed "as a combo" one starter, one main and one dessert. EDIT: the brazilian steakhouse and the hibachi restaurant are my favorite.
  14. what is the model of the phone itself? you may be able to use WiFi Calling, that is the phone call will be routed through the internet instead of a tower (or in this case a satellite). this may require you to upgrade your internet package...but that gives you "better" internet service too.
  15. i was on PoA for the cruise departing December 31 2022. on this cruise all of the specialty restaurants were open. my father and I ate in La Cucina once and Moderno (our favorite) twice.
  16. i have a voyage on her in three days. i was worried with all the negative reviews.
  17. actually son the answer is... YES it IS my business how and WHY i spend my money....i will not be party to grossly exploitative labor practices (if you are a business that uses third word migrant labor instead of domestic labor i REALLY wont support said business). i especially love the "and your premise is invalid" pseudointellectual LOLbertarian and handwave.
  18. that is correct it runs around $50.00. it is a very pleasant rum.
  19. thank you. one final thing, there will be two vouchers for per stateroom, NOT two vouchers per guest?
