  1. If you have a drink package, does it already have the tips figured in as well?
  2. Wow, the edge sure is having its time in the spotlight. I sure hope the passenger is OK. Does this mean a missed port or ? How do they handle it when they need to turn back for an emergency?
  3. We also, are scheduled to be on the Edge later this month in Alaska. I’m wondering how this is going to affect our glacier viewing experience. I suspect they will be extra cautious after this.

We had originally purchased the trio as well but then found out that you can’t book specific restaurants until you are on board and the restaurants we wanted were almost completely booked several weeks before our sail date. (Eden and the Steakhouse). We opted to return the trio and book the last available dinner in the planner at the steakhouse for an 8pm seating. We will try to get the time changed when we board but I’m not holding my breath.
  5. Wow. Hard pass for us. We weren’t able to sign up for the steak one because of timing but we’re considering the pizza one. For that price it should include a meal. No way we will now. Thanks for the heads up.
  6. I hope not. We have a 10:30 boarding time, I’d hate to have to wait a long time seeing as they assigned the time to us. I also hope it’s not crowded with a bunch of people not willing to board at their assigned time. Does it really make that much of a difference if you board at 10:30 vs 12:30? It’s just a few hours. It does make a difference for us as I’ve got dietary restrictions and am hoping to be able to eat lunch on board and will need time to talk to the restaurant etc. if I’m understanding correctly most people hit the buffet after they board and that is open longer hours.
  7. I thought I remembered reading it was 2 devices for us in our sky suite, but now all mention of how many devices has been removed from the description. We did buy this a year ago and they’ve made a lot of changes to what sky suite guests get in that time.

  9. I am checking through our reservations and noticed that the details about our booking have disappeared from our TA website. I’ve called them and they’ve emailed me a confirmation that included a list of what comes in our booking in the retreat, however, I think it used to say “2 devices” in regards to the Wi-Fi and now it doesn’t specify. When I look at the cruise planner, to buy premium Wi-Fi it says one device. When I read through the retreat info on Celebrities website, it also, does not specify. does anyone know the details around the included Wi-Fi in the retreat?

  11. Looks like 12:10 was the magic time. I guess the lesson here is that it may not be available at exactly midnight, but never fear, it will eventually let you get checked in!
  12. Well…. I stayed up to check in and it’s 12:08 pst. And I’m unable to check in. I tried at 12 am est. too with no luck. Not sure what time check in actually starts for my cruise.

(And sorry I didn’t post in the correct forum) I will do my homework and look up “Wi-Fi calling”. so if I’m understanding correctly, we need to turn on Wi-Fi calling ahead of time with ATT and the time change will be the same with the ship and the shore so we don’t have to do anything there. Also, we will want to turn on airplane mode.
  14. We will be headed to Alaska in just about 50 days. (Yay!). And I am trying to understand how our phones will work while we cruise. One place I read said we needed to put our phones in airplane mode while on the water, or we will be charged really high roaming fees. But if that is true, what is the point of the Wi-Fi package? We have ATT as a service provider and Canada is covered for us. We also have the premium Wi-Fi package as a part of our booking. Or whatever comes with a sky suite. We just need to be able to call and text each other. also, does ship time differ from Alaska time? I’m really confused about how we will keep track of ship time if our phones automatically switch over to whatever time it is in port.

  16. It will be wonderful if they don’t charge me. When I asked executive offices about the new upcharge in MDR effecting me in Luminae, they said it would and comped me 50 bucks to help cover the cost.
  17. This is a great idea! I just ordered some laminating pouches and will create some cards. I’m allergic to around 10-12 foods including whole groups like shellfish and poultry so this will be super helpful. Thanks for the tip. 😊
  18. Yes, I’ve let them know and will continue to “remind” at every meal. I also carry an Epi pen for my dangerous allergy. One of the reasons we chose Celebrity is because we heard they are very careful about allergies in Luminae. Thanks for sharing your experience! It’s reassuring to hear. 😊
  19. We too chose the Retreat experience, in part, because of my food allergies. I was looking forward to the luxury we paid for however as it will be a bucket list trip for me. Ever since we booked, almost a year ago, they have been chipping away at the product we purchased to the point that it’s hardly the same product at all! One of the things I was relying on was being able to have the steak whenever I’m allergic to the menu offerings. Now, I have to pay 10.00 for that too!
  20. Ironically, I emailed the executive office earlier today before I saw this latest asking for clarification regarding the workload of the returning butlers. We will see what they say!

Well… after this year of yo-yo ups and downs with celebrity constantly pulling the rug out from under us and consistently watering down the experience we paid top dollar for, I’m pretty sure we will be a one and done. I’m too tired of it to even be mad anymore. If I could cancel, I would. I’m just done. Gonna make the best of it and call it a lesson learned. Hope the extra few dollars they squeezed out of us by not giving us what we paid for (a butler) was worth it to them.
