I thought of doing it on our cruise, mostly to make it easy to find our door but we have a shared hallway door with another cabin. I found a really cool tie dyed moose that I thought was totally appropriate for Alaska.

I have water resistant pants. I plan to spend time in outside spaces even if it rains!

My husband said the same thing when I told him about the change.

I called the executive office and asked them directly if the butler workload was the same as before the “team concept” was implemented then canned, or if they had more cabins to cover. I was told they had the same workload as before the change. I even repeated it back to her and asked again, to make sure she understood me. sounds like she told me an outright lie.

Personally, I don’t eat seafood (I’m allergic to much of it) so the fine cut steak house would be my go-to. what is your favorite type of food?

I can hurt myself with a chair… even a table will do if I’m determined. Good grief, the loungers can’t be that dangerous! There must be something else going on here.

We are in a MC in about a week, we will be asking for them if they aren’t already on our balcony. I need a comfy place to go cool off when the hot flashes hit.

Uggh, me too! I am the hot flash queen around here. I’m really looking forward to a nice, cool, cruise. I sure hope they don’t have all the indoor areas sweltering hot.

Is there a way to have things pressed for a charge even if you don’t have CC status? We are new cruisers and I’ve been wondering how to pack my dresses so they won’t wrinkle. I don’t think it’s possible.

As an aside, we too, are going on an Alaskan cruise on the Edge. It leaves the 24th out of Seattle. one idea is to find and join your roll call for the specific cruise you are on. It’s a good way to “pre-meet” some people. Often times there are meet ups once onboard. and by the way, welcome to the board! 😊

In looking at (ok, downright studying it) the deck plan in preparation for our upcoming cruise, I noticed there is a second baccio located near the ocean view cafe. It says they have specialty coffees as well. Do they have the same menu of options as the main one on I think deck 4?

Congratulations! Sounds like two amazing itineraries. We booked a year in advance for our first cruise and will be leaving later this month. The only thing I didn’t expect was how many changes Celebrity made over the year we have been waiting. I plan to use the digital pass from the app but printed a copy to have in my documents folder as a backup. I also keep our travel insurance, parking details, etc. in there, just in case.

If you have a drink package, does it already have the tips figured in as well?

Wow, the edge sure is having its time in the spotlight. I sure hope the passenger is OK. Does this mean a missed port or ? How do they handle it when they need to turn back for an emergency?

We also, are scheduled to be on the Edge later this month in Alaska. I’m wondering how this is going to affect our glacier viewing experience. I suspect they will be extra cautious after this.

We had originally purchased the trio as well but then found out that you can’t book specific restaurants until you are on board and the restaurants we wanted were almost completely booked several weeks before our sail date. (Eden and the Steakhouse). We opted to return the trio and book the last available dinner in the planner at the steakhouse for an 8pm seating. We will try to get the time changed when we board but I’m not holding my breath.

Wow. Hard pass for us. We weren’t able to sign up for the steak one because of timing but we’re considering the pizza one. For that price it should include a meal. No way we will now. Thanks for the heads up.

I hope not. We have a 10:30 boarding time, I’d hate to have to wait a long time seeing as they assigned the time to us. I also hope it’s not crowded with a bunch of people not willing to board at their assigned time. Does it really make that much of a difference if you board at 10:30 vs 12:30? It’s just a few hours. It does make a difference for us as I’ve got dietary restrictions and am hoping to be able to eat lunch on board and will need time to talk to the restaurant etc. if I’m understanding correctly most people hit the buffet after they board and that is open longer hours.

I thought I remembered reading it was 2 devices for us in our sky suite, but now all mention of how many devices has been removed from the description. We did buy this a year ago and they’ve made a lot of changes to what sky suite guests get in that time.

I am checking through our reservations and noticed that the details about our booking have disappeared from our TA website. I’ve called them and they’ve emailed me a confirmation that included a list of what comes in our booking in the retreat, however, I think it used to say “2 devices” in regards to the Wi-Fi and now it doesn’t specify. When I look at the cruise planner, to buy premium Wi-Fi it says one device. When I read through the retreat info on Celebrities website, it also, does not specify. does anyone know the details around the included Wi-Fi in the retreat?

Same here. It hadn’t occurred to me to use OBC to buy electronics but it’s a good idea.
