  1. Compostable (non paper) straws have hit the manor 😁
  2. The only place I’ve seen the corn/agave straws before was richards rooftop. Haven’t gotten a drink there this time around yet but can report back if I see anywhere else!
  3. And no sink nearby… we kept a little shot glass of simple on the shelf for a day or so but the whole bar and all our barware was so freaking sticky!
  4. they should have real lime juice in a squeeze bottle that you can bug a bartender for. i like to squeeze my own, but there has been a shortage of limes on the past few i've been on - margaritas have been garnished with lemons!!!
  5. Yep, you check in on the app (I think you can usually do it before your dinner reservations- it’s on the home screen under before you sail). I think they might allocate checkin times by flight arrival times, so If you’re not flying in the day of you might have an earlier time? I’ve never flown in day of and every time I’ve been in a non rockstar room I’ve gotten 1:45
  6. eh it's not going to fall on your head. it supports a whole human when it's lowered 🙂
  7. i haven't been in one, but i sat at gunbae with a couple that was in one. they said the bed rattled a ton overnight - one of them hit it/shoved it further up and it stopped.
  8. woof made it off the beach just in time to miss the deluge!!!
  9. *cries in Californian* I’m paying $18/day at LAX, and that’s with my corporate discount!!!
  10. in a suite, yes, but not in other rooms. tea light would probably be a good idea!
  11. i've never done a TA before, but i was under the impression that they're usually a solid bargain (and light capacity!)
  12. i think that actually happened to me on one of mine last year - my boarding time was automatically assigned to 12:30 or something super early, then i got a notification shortly before the trip basically saying "oops the system assigned you a too early time" and we got 1:30.
  13. they serve sparkling wine at sailaway but nothing at the port afaik!
  14. i don't think they have food, but they might have water? if you want/need a snack, bring one to munch on while you wait!
  15. Wine around the ship is fine, it’s just the crap in our room was reaaaallly bad. We’ve been on scarlet before and never found any of the mini bar wine that repulsive until the last run. New brand that airport lounge wine puts to shame haha. Valiant had French wine in the mini bar in December that was pretty good!
  16. slightly - suites will board first around 1:45-2, followed by deep blue extras/splash of romance pax, then start general boarding by group number.
  17. yep saw that - there were a TON (like 14?) brilliant suites and a couple seriously suites available late last week, so it seems like a bunch of people got upgraded. i just did the min on a few suites, so not expecting anything!
  18. i'm still in upgrade purgatory - wonder when all my declines will come through because i'm sure i didn't get anything i bid on hahaha
  19. That guy is a clown. I was on the same voyage and had a blast. Sure we had a couple hiccups here and there, but nothing crazy. Re: his complaint about venue sizes, what ship has room in one venue for every passenger on board? None! His logic is regularly flawed, and it seemed like if things weren’t going exactly the way HE wanted them to, then obviously they were wrong. He clearly feels the need to sensationalize everything for clicks/ad dollars…
  20. Def not the norm. Did you happen to have Lazar by any chance? We had him once, and he was kind of disappointed that we had already made all our reservations before meeting him haha
  21. They let you play promo chips till you lose. you have to go to the cashier, tell them how much you want to use and pick tables or slots. For slots, they load to your band and you set a pin, then log in/download whatever you want to whatever machine you want to play. You do get points for play on promotional chips/slot dollars, but I don’t know what you actually get for them.
  22. It’s SUPER nice to have such a long voyage. The 4 night is my least favorite just because there’s no time to do anything on the ship! 8 nights was a great amount of time. It was such a better pace for me at least, AND you get to go to restaurants up to 3x! Seeya onboard next week!
