I would say within a month we may see RipCord installed.

I think we may see ripcord installed once she is outside, they won't put the finished funnels on until she clears the building dock. Height wise they are limited being that it's a closed building dock.

Just a guess, but it might be something they incorporated on the soltice class, like the glass blowing classes.

I think the stacks without question will already be installed.

Normally the stacks aren't finished off until it leaves the building, like with the solstice they didn't finish them off until it was outside the building hall

LOL. I agree...I think trying to juggle multiple new builds and the refurbs of other ships is too much for them.

Ok, now I have a much better understanding what system is being installed. I'll be glad when Royal releases more info on this ship. I'm kinda ticked off the ship is 9 months from completion and we don't have much more info than we received back in April.

Lol !! This website carries the need for info, the speculation alone has been fun, and just trying to dig up info..

I think royal is still trying to figure out all the spots, and trying to layout the third oasis has them spread thin

Hey no problem !! This is system is also close to what they put on the oasis, it also keeps see life from attaching and breeding on the ship..

Things are well, trying to get the quantum trip paid off...

What I got from the website and just looking around through the companies equipment, it's anti corrosive system. Salt Water can be very corrosive to pipes and metal surfaces. What I understand from the website is that they are installing a system to protect against the corrosive nature.

I'm with you, it is really fascinating. Going to Meyer Werft and see it "live" is on my list of things to do if I am ever in Germany.

I can only hope to get there one day, I also wanted to go to Finland and see the yard there, but I don't know if I will ever make it there.

You know I would not be surprised. There is nothing RCI on the site. I thought at one time she may have had pictures of the Radiance Class ships. Today nothing directly related to RCI is visible. Even the Celebrity ships are visible, so it is strange.

 

Sometimes I think since NCL has the next build in line behind Anthem they (RCI) don't want their secretes out. But then NCL could have done the same thing while their ships were being built and have a complete blackout to press and tourist. I'm sure Meyer Werft does not like this restriction as they want the world to be exposed to the beautiful ships they build and at the same time create some excitement for cruising. Since RCI is the client, they must have a say on what info gets put out there I suppose.

It truly makes no sense at all. I'm fascinated by the building process, the fact that something that big floats, houses some many people, and yet no big crowds in any one spot. The mechanical aspect just blows my mind how they have it all figured out and keep it running smooth

Yes I did create an account. They must be restricted as searching for S697, S698 and the names Quantum or Anthem yield no results. While on the other hand every other ship picture pops up using the build number or name. I cannot even find the engine pictures anymore. It is strange to say the least.

I wonder if royal found the pics from posts on here and made her take them down! I can only guess that maybe there is some sort of proprietary stuff they don't want anyone to see..

I don't think this ship will come close to trumping the Oasis class ships. Too bad we don't have much information other than what was released back in April to compare. LOL

The trump card for me is, I don't have to fly, stay over night anywhere, or rent a car. It's a 40 min ride

They were actually incredibly secretive with the Oasis. Their announcement schedule was actually forced to be moved up because we saw things being constructed in the shipyard before they were ready to announce them. The difference is that they had a pretty consistent announcement schedule with each neighborhood as a separate announcement. This time they are announcing individual venues and seem to be struggling to figure out how and when to do things in order to make an impact with their announcements.

I agree, I wish we had a contact who works for yard just like the oasis who would pass info and pics along. Speed the time table up !!

Yeah same here!!! With the oasis it felt like everything at once and I was still trying to wrap my head around everything just after each release. I think they are still trying to decide what else they are going to do, or where to put venues. I think they still have a lot to do to trump the oasis

For the exception of a few people the staff made it known they would much rather be in Europe !! Even after the refurb it still looks run down and needs some tlc .. My friend and I still had a blast didn't let it bother us, now looking forward to quantum

Going well !!! I was on the indy dec 1st and what a disappointment, but still had a great time.

I just stayed at the hyatt place, excellent hotel, I paid 130.00, and the shuttles are cheaper then a cab. Start running the cabs to the port at 10:00, 11:00, and 12:00. The staff are very friendly
