  1. No as there in no Red Frog Pub there will be no happy hour specials.
  2. It takes just a couple of minutes to throw some wrapped plastic straws in your suitcase. Carnival isn’t providing them but they aren’t prohibited. I’m confused why these situations are so complicated for some. Want a candy flavoured straw ask for one. Want a reusable plastic straw bring one. Want a collapsible metal straw that’s easily stored bring one. Want a “normal” type straw bring some. It’s really that easy. I like the lime straws myself and don’t usually have a drink that lasts long enough to mush it before I start eating it lol. My only complaint is that I’m not in a cruise right now!
  3. You will print out your results then take a picture and upload it to the ap. At least that’s how ours was done. If you are able to save your results to a file you may be able to upload that as well.
  4. The Diamond “event” varies from ship to ship and from one sailing to the next. If there isn’t a large number of diamonds on board you may get an invite to the bridge for coffee and desserts with the captain on one of the sea days. We’ve been invited to the steakhouse at lunch time for appetizers and drinks with the captain. Our most recent invitations have been for a lunch with drinks. Since Covid we haven’t seen the captain at any of the Diamond events(understandably so). We used to get a picture with the captain and it was delivered to our cabin. That has stopped as well with Covid. When they resume the Diamond events I’d suggest attending the ones that may interest you. There are quite a few Diamonds on each sailing now so the events are bigger. They also extend some of the invitations to & guest. We’ve enjoyed them in the past but honestly the $50 in OBC they are giving now is more appealing 🙂
  5. I have been having an issue lately with my cruise offers. I keep getting emails with the offer rate code OWV which I’ve booked under in the past without any issues. However in the past month when I get the email and log into my offers that offer isn’t showing up. When it happened the first time I figured the offer expired. However I got the offer email again yesterday and it’s not showing in my offers. I messaged my PVP and he said he could check specific sailings for me to see if it applies. I would refer to be able to see the offer and check random sailings I may be interested in. Would this be something I could call Carnival and ask to be transferred to the casino dept? Thanks for any input.
  6. On my last 3 cruises since the restart the fries are no longer the fresh cut fries at Guys. They were a typical frozen type fry with the same seasoning that was previously used for Guys fries.
  7. This is exactly what they are doing. They have not stopped the tests.
  8. When we sailed the Magic at the end of April the bar staff said our cruise was the last one that would have the paid bar snack option ( Pub Grub) . They would continue to offer free pigeon peas and fried plantains. Made sense since it was labor that could be used elsewhere. We enjoyed the Pub Grub!
  9. I would NOT give them August as a must be vaccinated by date. She needs to be fully vaccinated 15 days prior to the sail date. I’d respect the mom’s wishes and simply tell her that Carnival isn’t removing the requirement so sadly you have to give her deposit back. End of story 😞
  10. I agree that Guys was an improvement over the old burgers but Guys was much better when they first started offering them. Now they tend to be overcooked and thinner. The fries are no longer the fresh cut fries they started out with. Now Big Chicken really impressed me when we sailed the Mardi Gras! Loved their fries as well!
  11. If I’m being honest I can’t recall ever having a deli sandwich between 10pm-11pm. Pizza at 3am ? Nope I’m usually asleep. Late night snacks a few times but not enough to miss them. What I do hope returns to normal is the level of service in the food venues.
  12. I would highly suggest not flying in the day of the cruise! Flights are so iffy these days with delays and cancellations.
  13. From our very first cruise to 30 cruises later our goal is always to get on as early as possible. We’ve never wandered aimlessly. In fact our vacation fun started the minute we got on the ship. Some people aren’t in a hurry to get on the ship which is their preference while others like us want to get on as soon as possible. We also do self assist and get off the ship as soon as possible.
