We want to book 2 cabins, my husband and I both have the RU1 offer and want to take my sister and her boyfriend and have them get free drinks too (first time cruisers).  Does carnival care who's really in the cabins, our reservation will be tried together as I'm booking both cabins together?

Yes, at this point you can still cheat the system.

  2. Port workers were offered an opportunity to be vaccinated along with the ship workers.

To the port workers, it was only an offer. It was not suggested that it was a requirement or mandatory in any way. I dont know if it is a requirement for the ship workers nor do I know nor am I speculating if it will be mandatory in the future for either group, the shoreside or ship personnel.

How did my amenities thread go from Included Amenities or not to Vaccination discussion?  I was trying to make a thread to talk about something else instead of that lol. oh well back to the drawing board.....

A game I like to play on here is go to the last line of a thread and read the last few posts and then guess what the original topic was.

  4. I'm hearing all kinds of ways for them to save us money, but this company has no need to change anything.  Demand for sailing is high. All they need to do is start sailing and we all will bring our money and give it to them.

Some in the casino, some at the bar, some at the spa,  steakhouse, etc.they dont HAVE to change anything, we will be back when they are back.

  5. I gave up too. I had several cancelled without rebooking. I'm just asking for refunds as more are cancelled. If om counting on those 600  $$ to cruise then I probably shouldn't be  cruising in the first place.  I've been on 100s of cruises and it's funny that I am missing it less and less.

    Was an explanation provided?

Not really. It came from expedia and says in part..

"With rapidly changing information about coronavirus (COVID-19), we know that you are anxious about your upcoming cruise. Our call centers have been working around the clock to keep up with customer requests, and we are truly sorry if you have experienced the frustration of long wait times.

The cruise line has informed us that your cruise has been cancelled. This will be reflected in your 'My Trips' section of our site and on the mobile app.

We have worked closely with our cruise line partners to simplify the process for you to select to receive a full refund or a future cruise credit. Please follow the simple steps below as soon as possible."

Really? I find that hard to believe. If so, that would break all kinds of sanitary rules.

Agreed.  Like taking veggies to the pizza place, bleh.  Dont handle someone's handles veggies then touch the pizza. Have you seen the hygiene habits of some cruisers?

  8. We didn't get an offer, we have hundreds of days on carnival. I was thinking they sent that offer to those less committed to cruising. Itd be nice though.

As far as booking, we've stopped rescheduling cruises as there is still so much ship movement that could come. We had a october of 2021 trip cancel due to charter, 4 canceled due to the radiance moving, and 6-8 cancelled this year due to covid. I'm not moving or booking anything else until the ships start sailing. Unless of course they release some great itineraries for 2023-2024...
