Can anyone tell me how the covid testing works for US citizens? We are arriving the day before the cruise and dont understand completely the 2 day test rule.

Thank you. So everything I'm reading says he needs to update his green card before he can cruise. But it's also saying a passport is REQUIRED for non citizens, is that correct? He does not have a passport. I know he went on a. Cruise several years ago... is the passport requirement a new rule?
[He was born in Spain, but moved to the US as an infant. He has never been out of the country since and has no passport]
An unexpired green card is sufficient, just as easy with it as it is for a US passport.

Can you bring on Can soda from a port that you dock in during the cruise?
You can, yes.

I wish they would make platinum 300 days and diamond 500 days. No grandfathering and no catering to whiners. Well, without whiners I guess the ships would he empty.

Anyone that does check in at the terminal can tell you when you check in.

What rates are those? I never get rates this low.

Thanks. I've seen them do the modified shows for a few different reasons. I'm guessing they have heart of soul, flick, and 88 keys.

I'm glad you had fun. Do you recall what the shows were that didnt take place?

I would trade my OBC for some cheap cruise rates. Overall, you are getting the BETTER deal.

For Carnival Corp, and not all cruise lines under the Carnival umbrella were giving away OBC. Carnival doesn't release financials for the individual cruise lines.
Well we do know that the ones that sail with that whale's tail didnt have revenue of any type greater than this.

It seems someone saw the latest quarter revenues was nearly ten times of what it was last quarter, but failed to mention that it is a fifth of what it was for period ending 2/29/20.

I am a CPA and public acountant. I agree with you, you have to go through the guidance, but they owe you nothing if the cruise is cancelled.
A certified public accountant and a public accountant that is not necessarily certified?

Let's all look at their financial statement and see what we come up with.
This is the best conversation I have seen here in a while!

There is an alternative to this. I don't know why Carnival has never thought of it. Instead of having people put their trays on the floor by the cabin door(s), why not have carts with shelves at certain locations, like the elevator lobbies on each deck, where people could put their trays?
Good thought, but you know how people are. They have these types of stations on the lido deck by the pool, etc.. but people still leave their finished with items wherever the finished them at.

Consider it unconfirmed I suppose. Things can always change, even confirmed things.

Do they still give out the free one time only specialty dinning for reaching diamond status ? And how do you claim it ? Thanks for any help.
Yes. They will give you a certificate during the cruise that you make diamond. They will tell you it's the same as cash and not to lose it. Also they will give you the passport holder.

Honestly ive thought for a long time that they needed to add another tier. Somewhere between 75-250 days...maybe 150?
Or make platinum 150 and diamond 300 with no grandfathering.
I think they just want to do away with us that cruise all the time and know their money grabbing tricks in favor of the new ones that dont. It's been fun, but getting less fun, time to move along for me.

Carnival is all over the place with who gets the best rates. My daughter, who has only cruised once, often gets far better rates than I do. I imagine that since I've got multiple cruises booked they assume they don't need to go out of their way to lure me back.
Me too, I'm going to take a break from them and go elsewhere. I'm sick of the price games with them.

Time to dump the benefits for the platinum guests. There's too many and that's the excuse typically given.

Deck 3. It will be that way as long as the gangway remains working.

Thanks, but also it says that if you are leaving within 2 days you dont need the test but need to schedule it anyway. I'll be leaving the day after I arrive.
