    Hopefully, this explains it.

If you are entering the UK from a foreign country (apart from Ireland), you have two days to take a PCR test - a lateral flow test will no longer be accepted.

The PCR test must be booked before you travel, and bought privately from a government-approved list of providers.

While you are waiting for a result, you must self-isolate - whether or not you have been vaccinated. You can stop self-isolating if your test is negative.

If you're fully vaccinated and can prove it, you don't need a test prior to traveling.

You'll need to get your tests done and the results very quickly if you only arrive the day before you're due to sail.

Thanks, but also it says that if you are leaving within 2 days you dont need the test but need to schedule it anyway. I'll be leaving the day after I arrive.

Thank you. So everything I'm reading says he needs to update his green card before he can cruise. But it's also saying a passport is REQUIRED for non citizens, is that correct? He does not have a passport. I know he went on a. Cruise several years ago... is the passport requirement a new rule?

[He was born in Spain, but moved to the US as an infant. He has never been out of the country since and has no passport]

An unexpired green card is sufficient, just as easy with it as it is for a US passport.

There is an alternative to this. I don't know why Carnival has never thought of it. Instead of having people put their trays on the floor by the cabin door(s), why not have carts with shelves at certain locations, like the elevator lobbies on each deck, where people could put their trays?

Good thought, but you know how people are. They have these types of stations on the lido deck by the pool, etc.. but people still leave their finished with items wherever the finished them at.

Do they still give out the free one time only specialty dinning for reaching diamond status ? And how do you claim it ? Thanks for any help.

Yes. They will give you a certificate during the cruise that you make diamond. They will tell you it's the same as cash and not to lose it. Also they will give you the passport holder.

Honestly ive thought for a long time that they needed to add another tier. Somewhere between 75-250 days...maybe 150?

Or make platinum 150 and diamond 300 with no grandfathering.

I think they just want to do away with us that cruise all the time and know their money grabbing tricks in favor of the new ones that dont. It's been fun, but getting less fun, time to move along for me.

Carnival is all over the place with who gets the best rates.  My daughter, who has only cruised once, often gets far better rates than I do.  I imagine that since I've got multiple cruises booked they assume they don't need to go out of their way to lure me back.

Me too, I'm going to take a break from them and go elsewhere.  I'm sick of the price games with them.
