Hi All! It’s been a while since I have posted (I’m a lurker).
My husband and I have never done a 4 night cruise, but that’s going to change in January. Is there a difference in the dinner menus on a 4 day cruise vs a 7 day cruise? Are the platinum perks the same on a 4 day vs a 7 day?
Menus are the same, and the perks are the same.

$50 X 3000 pax? 150 THOUSAND DOLLARS! I feel sorry for Carnival....
I feel sorry for them having to hear all the whining. Maybe the whiners should try to collect from Mexico, since mexico wouldn't let them dock.

I suggest reading the covid testing thread at the top of the forum as this has been discussed over and over already ......
Everything on this site has been discussed over and over and over again. What's your point?

Carnival wants known spenders on their ships right now. Even if it means they give the room away. Enjoy!
I know you are right. As soon as my VIFP number is entered my prices go to the normal high prices.

I have seen Tito's. The price will vary between itineraries. Check the prices at your local liquor store before you go, i find spec's is usually cheaper.
The Hennessy will also vary by itinerary. You'll need to quote them high and hopefully find it cheaper for them.

Oh, and they dont care where you sleep.

Just booked a last minute cruise for Xmas week. It was dirt cheap to get 2 rooms rather than our usual quad. However on the reservation we have it assigned 1 kid 1 parent to each room. Was that a mistake. Because our kids are 14-16 will they allow us to change that config. Or just leave it, and just change the actual sleeping arrangements once onboard? Just to clarify its 2 rooms with the connecting door in between.
Leave it for now, no need to worry at all. People do this on purpose to avoid paying for Cheers all the time.

You might want to check in on the status of your cruise. I've had one from London changed to an all UK cruise.

Have a fun cruise

Your cruise could have been chartered. Which ship and/or port?

It's just sailing around, like they do.

I didnt really notice the difference.

We've sailed with him 3-4 times and really liked him. He will host the quest, lol.

Thanks for letting me know. A beef option is better than no beef option. I was on the regal princess last week. There wasn't a beef option for every meal, and I have left the MDR hungry 2/5 days, which I didn't think I would ever say on a cruise ship ever.
No flat iron on dream twice, breeze once in the past few weeks. It's a grilled strip loin offered every night. I enjoyed it.

COVID-19 testing after arrival in the UK
Most people arriving in the UK need to take one or more COVID-19 tests after they arrive.
You do not need to take a take a COVID-19 test after you arrive in the UK if all the following apply:
- you arrive as a passenger on a cruise ship
- you stay in the UK for less than 48 hours
- you leave on the same cruise ship that you arrived on
If you will stay in England for 48 hours or more, check the guidance for people travelling to England from abroad.
You also do not need to book or take COVID-19 travel tests if you are on a domestic cruise that only calls at ports in the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.
This was on another thread, from the UK Gov, advise specifically for cruising. Which confirms if you're leaving on a cruise within 48 hours the test isn't required. That's this week's advise anyway 🙄🤔
Thanks for trying, but I am not arriving by ship. I am arriving by plane. This will apply to only my return from the cruise.
But to your point, I might as well wait until about a week before the cruise to figure it out as things will certainly change.

So, which of those two groups are you in?
It doesnt matter, if it is a perk it should not be offered to a third of the ship. They will have to change this to sustain it. Who knows what they will do though, but I have never seen a company's "ambassador " try so hard to turn their own company's customers against one another. It seems like he wants people to say things like "I dont cruise for perks" and "platinum and diamond cruisers feel entitled" etc.. so that when they get rid of those loyalty levels there wont be such an outcry.
It seems also to me that he is gaslighting the red and yellow card holders to make then feel like maybe they really dont want to be platinum.
Ok, I've said enough that can be argued about, I suppose.

Yes, I would say so also

I believe they so have to go refresh their water tanks.

Maybe they will do away with platinum priority and keep it for diamonds and fttf
