  1. If they start enforcing it around common areas where they know there is a problem, we can talk. They know there is a problem. If they cant figure it out I will leave them to it until they do. Not a loss to me.
  2. Referring to speakers by the pool not my balcony. How do they know? They have acknowledged the problem, they know.
  3. To the people that ask did you call security did you go to guest services, why is that MY job? I'm on vacation, they know there is a problem, they need to look for it and correct it. We have done over one hundred cruises, mostly with carnival, but dont even have one booked with them now, and 11 booked with. various other lines. Speak to them with your money folks.
  4. I think carnival is trying to fill the diamond club
  5. I have seen it closed on first day.
  6. Wouldn't the attendant just look over from the other side and see? It all comes down to enforcing the rules.
  7. Why did you ALWAYS get it if you were ALWAYS unimpressed? I tried it here and there but rarely get it. I'd rather get something I like rather than get something just to tell people I had it, or because I felt like I should like it because seemingly most make a big deal about "lobster".
  8. You can book up until the ship has zero passengers and the nee manifest is loaded into the ships system. Will there be anything available? Maybe, maybe not. Passengers who book with 24 hours or less before sailing are subject to those extra security checks someone mentioned.
  9. We had "adult game night" on Dream this week. As the cruise director said, "here's what you came for"
  10. Means you'll be onboard for sail away
  11. Most likely? From CDC. "One of the problems with recent COVID-19 infections is that a patient may continue to test positive for weeks or even months after the infection has cleared up from the body. A positive COVID-19 test in a patient who has recovered from COVID-19 and who no longer has any symptoms will most likely indicate that the test is detecting non-infectious virus fragments and the patient is no longer infectious."
  12. Look at the bright side, you no longer have to wonder about it.
  13. I wonder what it cost to just pay for it instead of tipping and hoping. Not sure which is cheaper.
  14. You should book with the ones from the other thread who never have to wait in line.
  15. I've seen carnival security and employees walking by smokers on the lido and not say a thing to them. They don't enforce their rules enough period. I'm not security, dont leave it up to me to go find someone to tell. They need to do a better job.
  16. You definitely need a car to get around Houston if you are staying a few days. Car drip off is limited in Galveston. What you might consider is renting the car at the airport, returning it to the same place on cruise day, and take the carnival shuttle to the port. Remember to purchase it in advance.
  17. Hobby is 30 miles closer, its 41 miles to the port. IAH is 70
