  1. You are on Mary and Elizabeth ahead? This is quite a sneaky one because my thinking was immediately Liverpool, crane colours fit, two Cunard ships together would fit for 2015, but then I realised you are on the reconfigured upper part of Mary. So with the headland on the port side ruling out Liverpool or other candidate Lisbon I will say Halifax NS.
  2. If you are on a tight schedule it is worth noting there are ticket, security and border checks to complete at St. Pancras before boarding Eurostar, the gates close in advance of departure so you can’t arrive a few minutes before 09:24 and get on.
  3. The rear port side portion of Kings Court is reserved for these dining options. Tables are set with linen tablecloths, place settings and waiter and sommelier service is included. It is not self service. The thoroughfare from D stairway is closed so there is no through traffic making the experience very pleasant. There is usually a published rota which lets you know in advance which night is the Mediterranean theme etc., I believe the restaurants operate every night of the voyage.
  4. Normal occurrence. If it is sold out it disappears from the list of available cruises. You need to change the filter to include sold out cruises.
  5. This is the Queen Mary 2 breakfast card for Queens Grill from July 2022. Hopefully this provides a guide.
  6. Guessing it has a Cunard connection. Is it the remnants of the Cunard White Star pier?

Have they continued the practice of providing a welcome aboard note from the captain and a complimentary glass of wine at dinner in lieu of the welcome aboard party?
  8. Yes, I’ve attached the list from July 2022 with prices applicable at the time. These could be arranged with the tour office on Queen Mary 2.
  9. Hadn’t thought of it this way, but I’ll drink to that! 😀
  10. Although I was content with the original date, perhaps the push back to May is advantageous in respect of longer daylight hours and realistic opportunities to sample the outdoor facilities and spaces. 🙂
  11. Well I was quite flattered in a way when Daily Mail used one of my photos of the Queens Room on Queen Mary 2 to illustrate their story. They had the correct cruise line and ship just a pity it was negative story about the ship breaking down
  12. I fell for the hype and took up Cunard’s maiden booking offer. Now I see the ship taking shape I’m pleased I did. 🙂
  13. You can’t go from the Chef’s Gallery to the D stairway though without going outside or cutting through the port side of Kings Court which hosts the speciality restaurant in the evening. The way through the rear of the Kings Court is barred while the speciality restaurant is operating. Perhaps I’ve misunderstood the question though.
  14. As a guide until someone can provide a Princess Grill menu, here is the breakfast menu card for Queens Grill. I don’t know if the offerings are different in Princess Grill. For reference I scanned this in July 2022 on Queen Mary 2.
  15. Excellent, thank you for the detail on the ship in Brooklyn. I caught Prinsendam departing and Silver Whisper was alongside too.
  16. New York turnaround for Queen Mary 2 was at Manhattan on 17th May 2011 I believe this was one of the occasions there was another ship scheduled for Brooklyn. A Princess ship if memory serves.
  17. There is chat on the MSC forum suggesting MSC Meraviglia will be sailing itineraries from Brooklyn in 2023 which if true would support expectation of reopening as a cruise terminal in April.
  18. If the driver doesn’t ask, let them know you are taking the train to London, so they drop you at the most convenient side of the station. That way it is a short walk over flat ground onto the platform. Under usual circumstances two hours will be sufficient from walking off the ship to arriving at the station.
  19. Yes, the second photograph was necessary. I remembered the red sheds from my visit there, a number of years ago which set me on the right track.
  20. Saw there's a YouTube record of the visit to Santander from a guest sailing on this voyage. Had I discovered it earlier working it out would have been a lot easier. 🙂 See around 13:34 in this video.
  21. I've attached the U.K. version of the Gift Credit details. I found it in the "Gifts" section of My Cunard for a current booking. The small print discloses any unused OBC of this type of is non-refundable. It also explains exclusions which have been covered in previous comments. gifts-gift-of-choice-Aug2021.pdf
  22. Have a look at Santander, the bridge, striped shed and silos are all present. Quite a clever one as it was a maiden call for the ship recently.
