Stops the hangers being stolen.

I’ve booked the Hilton at the cricket ground - with a pitch facing balcony for a laugh (no match on…)

Would think all Fincanteri build shops now have same width for all staterooms apart from QG or equivalent. I expect the camera makes it look narrower and the bathroom smaller. assume on longer cruises and especially world cruise clothes are laundered. Another review showed suitcases fit under the bed.

They aren’t impressed with the Queens Room. Chairs look rather ordinary, tables very much so. The room is offset to one side of ship centreline with a walkway down one side if I remember the plans correctly.

It’s their career. For some of them anyway. Pretty good job if you can get the following. The guy off TipsForTravellers and Emma Cruises are near permanently on cruises.

Here is a QA Balcony Cabin review...
-
One of the best rates anywhere I think Such good drivers in the UK of course... Roads are actually very well designed here - even things like motorway slip roads which can be very badly designed in some countries (Italy for example).
-
Not usually... and research says it's slightly the safer side (to do with dominant eye and dominant hand).
-
Yes, but you are still driving on the wrong side there...which is easier for you.. I thought I'd miss a manual but the 8 speed auto on my Alfa Romeo is superb
-
Liking this drone footage...

Indeed, all cabins down the sides are the same depth (ok, ones in the hull may be marginally different from ones on the super structure). Shame Vistas and QA add on depth - in a QA PG in 53 days... (not counting)
-
QM2 is quite easy to work out sizes as cabins (apart from the very top ones) are measured in whole or half width units. Britannia - 1 unit, PG - 1.5 units, QG5/6 - 2 units, QG4 - 3 units...
-
QA is 10% longer than the other Pinnacles...but takes 10% more passengers... (Also QA maybe larger than QV and QE but has almost 1000 more passengers; passenger/volume ratio is actually a little worse: 34 for QA, 36 for QE so will be just as crowded/uncrowded as QE and QV. QM2 obviously the best with a ratio of 45)

Live from the Solent for Queen Anne’s arrival
buchanan101 replied to Solent Richard's topic in Cunard Line
Certainly better looking than that monstrosity - with what look like afterthoughts to support the bridge and one of the ugliest backends at sea. The unbroken rows of balconies are also really quite ugly - better QA with bits (the PGs etc) sticking out further. Still think they've overdone the front superstructure on QA though - aesthetically speaking though doesn't look as bad side on: the bridge is too low... being 10% longer than other Pinnacles helps too -

Thanks - but wondering if that area is publicly accessible on voyages - be great if it is -

How is the blog coming along Richard? How far forward on the ship can passengers walk? Saw people on the area in front of the main superstructur -
Or hire an automatic... we do have the technology - both my cars are autos, with excellent seamless shifts
-
Just found it on the map - it's not far from Clarkson's Farm Shop, or Stow in the Wold (recommended). Not the part of the Cotswolds I know (further west is where I have been).
-
We do have automatics now! And these days they are very good. Wouldn't for a moment suggest hiring a car in London though - public transport there is excellent (but not cheap)... but you may miss out on a lot of the Cotswolds without one - so many beautiful spots (previously mentioned, Bourton on the Water, Stow, Slaughters, Broadway, Chipping Camden) that aren't really reachable by public transport (I think there's a station in Moreton in the Marsh which is close-ish to Stow and Bourton on the Water). Broadway Tower (a folly) has a great view. Sudeley Castle (one of Henry VIIIs wives' I think). Roads there are WAY easier than London - good A and B roads. But you'll have a great time I am sure. Cotswolds are a lovely area. When are you going?

Never done a Cunard cruise....Are we missing out on something????

A TA should be able to get you some sort of perk. Mine regularly gives 5% off. -
Cotswolds lovely but parts are like a theme park .. Bourton on the Water for example (though still worth a visit). Broadway likewise, Chipping Camden, Stow, the Slaughters. Cheltenham counts I guess and outside the Cotswolds you have Stratford to the north and Bath to the south which is well worth a visit (Roman Baths etc). Are you getting a hire car as not easy to get round otherwise? oh and Oxford and Blenheim before you get to the Cotswolds from London…
