There is a Budget/Avis rental car place at the port gates. I'm fairly certain I saw a few other companies in the vicinity as well but can't confirm their details or shuttle info. This location will give you a free shuttle ride to the ship when you return the car there. I just did this in June.

Just a thought but $8000 would cover great excursions for the ports and I would 100% recommend some excursions to explore each port fully. I have not been on Norwegian, but the discovery is a beautiful ship and princess is known for their Alaska trips. The enrichment activities to learn about Alaska onboard are excellent!

Update: 28 days from sailing. Received email that my minimum bid was accepted. I fully expected to get an undesirable room location but it ended up being a decent move and I’m happy. Just for reference - I was booked in an interior room. I was offered balcony options at a range of minimums from $35/pp to $110/pp. I bid on an obstructed deluxe balcony for the minimum of $75.

Sounds like it’s not working correctly. You *should* be able to join the waitlist and get notification of that. Then IF a spot becomes available, they will notify you and you’ll have a day or 2 to pay for it.

We watched a lot from the buffet area, but our favorite spot ended up being the aft bar behind the buffet. There are some couches under the covered part of the deck with big glass windows, so the wind is minimal. We could sit and have great views and a drink without freezing. Although the ship was full it wasn’t crowded back there either.

I’m sorry for the confusion. I was offered a casino status match offer. I go to the club royale offers page, it shows me “casino discount on any sailing” as my offer, click the gold redeem button and it takes me to this page. It doesn’t give a list of sailing options, pricing or anything else. I’m guessing this must not be the norm for these offers.

I have not sailed with Royal Caribbean before but have been offered a status match offer. On the offer list it shows “casino discount on any sailing through March 2023” but gives no indication what this discount might be. If I click “redeem” it sends me to the booking page to enter my info for one of their TAs to book it but never shows any pricing. I’d kind of like to know what the discount is before I commit to a sailing. Would any of you have any insight?

I checked out the ice cream brands Facebook page…less than 3000 followers. So less than a ships worth of people know/care about this brand enough to follow it on social media. I noticed when onboard the discovery in June that the only Stanley bears available in the shop were holiday themed and we’re few in number. When looking at the onboard gift selection for my upcoming cruise, they no longer have the bear plush as an option to purchase. I know they had to stop the breakfasts, etc with Stanley with Covid and haven’t resumed them that I’m aware of. Does anyone know if maybe they’ve done away with Stanley as their mascot and all the coordinating merch?

Sometimes Princess runs a gift card sale too…buy a certain amount, get a bonus amount. I think it was 10% last time. So buy $1000 get $100 bonus free. We haven’t seen that sale in awhile so I’m hoping it’s coming soon.

I'm opted in, but it hasn't been sent just yet so I went to the personalizer and clicked the link to check. - I am in an inside cabin currently. I only received an opportunity to bid on balcony categories. This was unexpected. I wonder if I get upgraded to a balcony soon, If I can go back in and have the opportunity upgrade that to a mini suite. - My minimums for a 4 day cruise are: - Standard Obstructed: $35/pp (was $348 cost increase at booking) - Deluxe Obstructed: $75/pp (was $372 cost increase at booking) - Standard Balcony: $90/pp - Deluxe Balcony: $110/pp I'll update if any of my offers are received.
