  1. Bob20019, AMEN to that. Ever since this bombing, etc. started last week I have been praying for ALL of God's people over there, especially for their protection.
  2. Bob20019, I agree. Anyone can "complain," but TRY to find the positives in life. That is why when I get ready to cruise, I try to think on the "positive" side, and if something goes wrong, I just "deal" with it. 🙂
  3. For those that are on, or were on the Regal this year, I'm glad to read your good responses. We are to be on the Regal this coming February, and I'm looking forward to the trip, and I/we will DEAL with the internet situation.
  4. Tablerocker, just curious, where in MO do you live? Since you use the name "Table"rocker, our home away from home is on Point Seven in Kimberling City, and we can walk to Table Rock Lake.
  5. Galveston Cruiser, thank you for that information about Galvestonlimo, and I'll try to check into that too.
  6. WildBlueYonder6, thanks for your response, and I'll take that into consideration. Are main problem is looking for a vehicle that is large enough to carry 7 or 8 people, instead of two vehicles.
  7. C-Leg5, you have my "curiosity" up. You say you are flying in from Kansas City too. Do you live around Kansas City, and if so where, or are you coming in from some other town to fly out?
  8. Steelers36, thank you for explaining the difference and for ME to know that there will be a paper that I can look at to see what will be going on as well. I like to take a marker ahead of time and mark what I would like to see/do. 🙂
  9. Yes, that is what we are hoping (I am having my d-i-l to check into this) to happen if at all possible. My d-i-l told me on their last cruise, even though it was out of FL, the hotel they booked did the whole 9 yards of picking them up at the airport, taking them to the ship, picking them up from the ship, and taking them back to the airport with the one night stay, and for the price she quoted, it didn't sound too bad, so time will tell. She was going to check and see if this hotel had any other hotel connections in the area we are to cruise out of now.
  10. Once again, thank you ALL for your responses, and when it gets closer, I'll try to check into it further. As you can guess, with 7 or 8 of us, we ARE trying to save money any way we can. 🙂
  11. Steelers36, when mentioning to check the Daily Activities, I gather you are referring to the medallion, is that correct? I guess the reason I am asking, I was "wondering???" if they still put some type of paper in the room with what is going on the ship each day too?
  12. Toras you are right! I was glad that I seen the $5 discount, but the $50 extra fee (if the hotel is NOT in their area) might make up for the $5 discount.
  13. C-Leg5, I was GLAD that I READ ALL of that information "ahead" of time before booking with them. 🙂
  14. Rocketman275, I appreciate you bringing that to my attention. I had just posted earlier of the SAME thing. As we don't know which hotel we will be going to, and before I use them, I wanted to make sure they DO the hotel we will select, and I made a notation for myself about the $50 fee as well.
  15. Ron the Rev mentioned that the Symphony Dining Room was the place to head for on the Regal ship for eating lunch, instead of going to the top and eating at the buffet. Is this just for the first day of boarding the ship, or the days at sea or what? I try to make notes when it comes to the Regal ship as that is what we plan to do.
  16. Thank you for your input. I just heard back from Galveston Express which looked pretty good, other than I happen to noticed that I need to make sure that they WILL pick us up at the hotel we are at, as I guess??? there are some hotels they do not do pick up at.
  17. TerrysKO2000, just curious, you mentioned of flying in the day before to the airport. Was it Hobby or the other one? The reason I ask, you mentioned of staying at the "airport hotel." I had just read that the area around Hobby, especially to be walking around wasn't very safe.
  18. Johnboy036, I just contacted Galveston Express for price quote for our February cruising out of Galveston. Are you saying if the person is 55 or more and we use them for a round trip, there is a discount, compared to their regular price?
  19. So if I am reading some of these responses right, are plans are to fly into Houston/Hobby Airport, it is safer (we want to fly in from KC, MO the day before for just in case since it is February) to get a hotel closer to the Galveston area or what, since we will be cruising out of Galveston.
  20. As we will be flying in from KC, MO (normally cold/bad weather) in February, that is a good suggestion to check on the weather forecast before we arrive at the TX/Hobby airport.
  21. OK, I went back again to check out Galveston Express, and Island Breeze, and this time for "some???" reason, things seemed to look a little better. So I thought I would go ahead and check them out "ahead" of time. I just emailed them and I'll see what kind of response I received. Thank you for your input on this.
  22. Once again, thanks for the last postings I received. I WAS getting excited, as I thought to myself, YES this sounds like it will work out fine. I then checked into Island Breeze, and the way it read, the area it was in TX did not renew their contract. Then I checked on Galveston Express, and when I read 6 or more reviews from "this year," they were all BAD. Now I am really concerned as either one of these would have worked out in price, compared to Princess Transportation.
