  1. Thank you so much for sharing all your experiences. Your pictures (sights and food) are inspiring and makes us dream of our next trip.
  2. Did you in the end feel Aqua Class was worth it? Were the other classes better than the first?
  3. I was hoping to hear more about your trip, but I’m going to assume you enjoyed your vacation to the fullest. You deserve an escape from the pressures of life (and the pressures of a live report).
  4. The Happy Hour is a specific and limited menu and you can get the HH drinks in any bar during the designated time. My experience has been that without the beverage package, the HH drinks (example- Cosmopolitan) will be served in the smaller flight glass you’d find at the Martini Bar. I expect with the bev package you’d get the full size.
  5. Luggage storage if needed! https://www.yvr.ca/en/passengers/shop-dine-and-services/services/276
  6. You may want to see how far in advance they will let you check your luggage for your airline. I’ve run into problems if it was more than 3 hours. Not to say it will be a problem, but better to know now if it is. Maybe Vancouver has a baggage storage service.
  7. Thank you for sharing your trip. It was a delight to read and follow along. And, I am thrilled that you won at bingo. Your positivity was rewarded.
  8. Thank you so much for sharing your land and sea cruise. We are taking a slightly different land tour before our cruise in July and with a different line, but your details gave us an understanding of how things may work and what to expect logistically. I appreciate the time and energy it takes to put it all out there and I enjoyed every bit of it.
  9. That is what I remember as well. It has been awhile since we got a dining package.
  10. Yes, you can go to different restaurants since each person will reserve where they are going once you’re on the ship. If you are a Captains Club member, you can make reservations through the Loyalty Desk ahead of the cruise by calling them. Your question about Sushi on 5 and how it works with the dining package - I’m less confident about this, so I’ll leave that for someone else to answer.
  11. In my experience, it doesn’t indicate anything. Your credit card will likely be charged before you receive the email notifying you that it was accepted. Waiting to find out if your bid will be accepted can be anxiety ridden. Best of luck!
  12. If you take “The Blue Bus” (tickets available at a kiosk near the Tram) it will drop you at the parking lot for the Mendenhall Visitor Center. It is a direct bus to the glacier and not a city bus that makes multiple stops.
  13. Yes, Thank you all. We will be onboard for Alaska in July and you have kept the fire of anticipation going.
  14. We are in a similar situation. I’ve discovered the Boston Water Taxi has a service especially for cruises. They pick you up at the port, store your luggage, drop you off to do your sightseeing, and take you to the airport. Is this something worth considering? https://www.bostonwatertaxi.com/
  15. I always have been a glass-half-full-kind of person.
  16. Just received a RoyalUp email allowing me to bid on an upgrade for Voyager 10/16 cruise. Great! My question is has anyone ever done a RoyalUp involving a B2B cruise and how does that impact the subsequent cruise week if your bid is accepted? I expect the answer will be that we will need to plan on moving to a different cabin for the next week. But, thought someone may have some experience with this.
  17. I was so glad to see your post. My husband and I are going on Beyond in September to Greece and Malta. Can’t get enough about the ship and your experiences on board. Love your humorous way.
  18. Wow. So glad to hear it worked out for the crew member. Sorry it threw everything off for you. Will you be doing your own live thread? I’m going through a bit of withdrawal after following along for the past two weeks.
