  1. Yes - I was interested to hear of any personal experiences from people on this forum.
  2. Thanks terrierjohn - that sounds the best option - to organise our own flights and pick up a ship there as I haven’t seen any cruise company that does flights both ways and a cruise all together - I would prefer that option in case anything went wrong with the flights etc but I don’t think it’s possible - but like you did we could do the whole package via trailfinders and have some support if needed. The world cruise segments I have seen only seem to fly one way. Bucket list job !
  3. Sorry - I meant fly both ways and do say 2/3 weeks cruise in Australia. thanks for all replies everyone.
  4. Apologies but off topic - anyone done uk to Australia fly cruise ? don’t know which forum to look at but want do this 2024. best time and best line etc ? Any p&o we could do this on ?
  5. Me too - for me a balcony is best - in any weather.
  6. That sounds fantastic. I would love that.
  7. Agree - we only do adults only. Marella Explorer 2 , p&o Aurora or Arcadia. May try ambassador at some stage.
  8. Just booked our excursions for the sail 3 seas cruise in May - mostly walking tours this time. The excursions we have been on previously with Marella have been very good , great guides and very well organised and a reasonable price. If we have been to any of the ports before we do our own thing usually. If it’s a new port we always do a ship booked excursion. We prefer to know we won’t get left behind if we are late or if there are any problems we will be looked after as opposed to a non ship booked excursion The Adriatic is lovely - have a good cruise.
  9. Marella explorer 2 is the only adults only ship on all of its cruises. All the other ships are not adults only on any of their cruises.
  10. NavyPanda - these tables are really good. Thanks for sharing.
  11. So do I - but I would have to fly cruise to just part of it. That would be great.
  12. I agree - this is very annoying. I have seen this behaviour on almost every ship - in the buffet , crows nest , various other bars etc people spending hours just sitting and reading or talking or even asleep and we have been unable to get a seat to order something. Seemingly oblivious to the fact that other people need a seat. Go to bed if you want to sleep !
  13. Me too ! Going on her end of august and beginning of December - got a great select price for 16 nights to the canaries.
  14. I would ! But for me it’s the adults only part that’s more important than the ship size.
  15. I agree - I would go on any p&o ship that was adults only as that’s the most important thing to us.
  16. Stupid design to have a pool with an overflow above balconies - hard to believe this wasn’t thought about. Is Arvia the same ?
  17. Agree - Shame as Fred used to be good. We liked the adults only itineraries and the staff were really good and the pricing was more consistent. We stopped when the adults only itineraries were no longer offered and the prices went berserk. We went on Saga last year and agree with you - it was superb in every way. Best put out of its misery I think.
  18. Martha & Britboys - could I also ask - would you go again on Ambience and would you book anything on Ambition yet or would you wait for reviews ? I’m considering booking for 2024. thanks
  19. Wow - I hope so 🤞 which YouTube channel ?
  20. That would be a good way of doing it - opt in or opt out at the start of the cruise. Maybe if -as it seems - not too many want a turn down service they could bring it back just for those who want it - or have as a chargeable extra.
  21. It’s nice to go back to the cabin that has had a turn down service. We miss it. Would pay extra if that’s what’s needed as it makes the holiday experience special. Don’t care about custard. I would take turndown over custard any day.
