  1. We sailed seaside 2 weeks ago. My tips for 7 days was around $115.00 each. Yes tips are included in the drink package. Tipping extra is your choice, you don't have to and we never felt like we had to (we did). Enjoy your cruise
  2. Can you not also do this with your cruise card?.
  3. I purchased a wristband on the Seaside last week. I thought it would be easier than carrying the card. Turned out 90 percent of the time I had to remove the band and hand it to bartender so they could scan it. Few had the mobile device.
  4. We sailed the meraviglia earlier this year. We had ordered wine also. We didn't have to ask for a cork screw they had one with the wine. On that sailing my wife had a metal cork screw in the main luggage, made it in no problem. We did not fly, drove there.
  5. Last week we ordered a bottle of white and a bottle of red. The white was screw top, but the red was cork. We called room service and they brought us a plastic cork screw. Worked fine
  6. Just off the Seaside this past weekend. The menus didn't show up on the app until day before. For example Monday night you could see next days breakfast and lunch, but dinner didn't show up until Tuesday morning.
  7. Got off the Seaside today. Our form looked like yours. I waited until we got to check in desk and asked them which side was yes and no. They told me to right yes and no in what ever column I wanted and then answer the questions.

    Tips

Currently on the Seaside. Last time we sailed on her, when we ate at the speciality restaurants we could add an additional tip and the end. This time we could not, waiter said only way to tip extra was cash. Which was fine with us, just know to take cash with you if you are inclined to tip extra.
  9. I was in the seaview lounge and a person next to got a Dr Pepper
  10. We got our first email about 3 weeks out. We sailed out this past Sunday (still on board). We got an email Saturday night telling us our bid was not accepted.
  11. Captain made announcement we changed course to Key West to meet coast guard. Said he would up-date upon arrival.
  12. I are sailing also. Our check in time was 2pm. We arrive at 10.50 and walked straight in no questions about check in time. Waited about 30-40 minutes before our group boarded.
  13. No, I did mine before sailing. I was told onboard I still need to do it at the machine on board. When I went to do it, it told me I already had a card registered.
  14. I received my upgrade email 2 weeks ago, we sail Sunday. No word yet:(
  15. When do you sail? We sail Sunday for a 7 night. This is our second time in her. The pizza is great, shows are OK, but when we sailed on the Mergivila earlier this year the shows where great,.hoping seaside has changed up. Bar service may be slow in the busy areas, many times it's quicker to walk 5 minutes to a quieter area. Beautiful ship, have a great time.
  16. I have asked this question a few times here and never received an answer. There is no restaurant called the sea pavilion. I assume from the title the second restaurant is one of the Asian places. This is why we didn't book, I don't want sushi. We sail this coming weekend.and decided wait until we are on ship and see what the cost is, and if we can just do butchers.
  17. So if I understand the above correctly, if I have cheers, when I go to dinner in the MDR I can order a bottle of wine and receive a discount. Also this bottle will not count towards the cheers drink limit. Can you also order a bottle at the buffet bar and the same applies?
  18. That's fine, still prefer that. Can you (or is there a need) to email reservations before cruising. Haven't sailed Carnival in years, went to RCL, NCL and MSC. Giving Carnival another shot
  19. Did you eat at a large table or could you get a table for 2 with anytime dining?
  20. I always enter my info on the website during check in never had to do it again onboard.
  21. I haven't sailed Carnival in about 10 years. I hit the 15 drink limit once, and was cut off. I like to try different drinks, which is what I did that night, didn't really drink that many. Anyway thinking of giving Carnival another try. Been doing some research and get different answers. even within this thread I can't a solid answer. I know this is an old thread, so instead of starting a new one, I just replied to this one. So I have a couple of questions. Would be great if someone could answer them for me. All drink related. 1) if I don't purchase cheers if there still a 15 drinks limit? 2) if I purchase a bottle of wine during dinner and I do have cheers, how does this count towards the daily limit?
  22. Good morning. I started sailing with Carnival but haven't sailed with them in years. Looking at a four day from Charleston SC March 2024. When I select a porthole room, total price is $940. But it also shows a "Plan Now Sail Later - Funtastic rates (OV7)" special and it says I receive a $500 onboard credit. Not "up-to" actually shows a $500 credit in the cruise summary. This looks way too good to be true, is this correct? and if so, can you use that towards the bar tab or even purchase Cheers once onboard? Thanks for any relies.
  23. I have sailed from Miami a few times,.NCL, RCL and MSC never YC or the matching levels on other lines. But I always do self depart and always made airport by 8-8.30 am. I do understand the plan for the unexpected, but personally I plan for the expected and accept the risk. I normally book flights for 11-11.30 and (touch wood) never had an issue, plenty of time.
  24. If you upgrade from Bella do you get access to the aurea deck?
