  1. Our travel mates were in that cabin on the Beyond and had some noise but were no where near as bad as we were, They were able to sleep and likely would not have mentioned it if we hadn't. Good luck!!
  2. Totally agree. I did post it elsewhere but we had friends in an Oceanview balcony on Deck 10 on Beyond and they were content. Some minor noise only. Our entire hallway sounded like it was going to cave in (Deck 12 aft, both port and starboard).
  3. Had similar noises in 12267 and 12268 (port and starboard -- this is not the Magic Carpet to blame) 20231105_105604.mp4 20231105_105604.mp4 20231105_105604.mp4 20231105_105604.mp4 399432159_24080323014944528_667893179869247766_n.mp4
  4. Date of Cruise: October 30, 2023 Ship: Beyond Cabin #: 12267 - portside (After moving from 12268 see above) Deck #: 12 Cabin Category: C2 - Concierge Cabin Location: Aft Bed Position: By Wardrobe Balcony Type: Infinite Veranda Balcony/Window Size: Standard IV Balcony/Window View/Obstruction: Overhang from cantilevered deck above blocks views up (can't see sky, can only look down) Balcony Overhang?: Yes, Overhang from cantilevered deck above blocks views up (can't see sky, can only look down) Magic Carpet Issues?: No Noise Issues?: Yes. We moved to this cabin after having noise in the first cabin (12268). Noise was not a lot better. We thought it might be an improvement since there was cabin noise AND kitchen noise in 12268. But this cabin creaked, popped, squealed and whistled so loudly we just could not sleep as well. Additionally, this cabin is farther forward under the Oceanview. Not sure who was thinking having stools in the buffet would be good. They are on tiles, not carpet. Every time someone moves them, they scrape across the floor. This noise starts with cleaning at 4AM and continues through the morning. We were just miserable without sleep. Since there were no available cabins to move to, we just dealt with it. Wind Issues?: No Connecting Cabin? Where Does it Connect?: No Suite Details: N/A Advantages/Problems/Comments: Noise. It seems most of the aft balcony cabins on Deck 12 suffer from both the cabin noises and the Oceanview noises. Do not book. Would You Book It Again?: I will not sail on the Beyond ever again Photos or Photo Links: 399432159_24080323014944528_667893179869247766_n.mp4 20231105_105604.mp4
  5. Date of Cruise: October 30, 2023 Ship: Beyond Cabin #: 12268 - starboard side (moved to 12267 - portside - review posted for it as well below) Deck #: 12 Cabin Category: C2 - Concierge Cabin Location: Aft Bed Position: By Wardrobe Balcony Type: Infinite Veranda Balcony/Window Size: Standard IV Balcony/Window View/Obstruction: Overhang from cantilevered deck above blocks views up (can't see sky, can only look down) Balcony Overhang?: Yes, Overhang from cantilevered deck above blocks views up (can't see sky, can only look down) Magic Carpet Issues?: No Noise Issues?: Yes. Cabin creaked, popped, squealed and whistled so loudly we just could not sleep. In addition, cabin is directly under the service area for the Oceanview. Service carts are brought here where staff bang them into the walls. Noise started at 4AM when apparently set up for buffet begins. Noise continued through the entire morning and into early afternoon. Between the walls and ceiling and IV balcony and this "kitchen" noise, we were just miserable without sleep. Requested a cabin change to 11267 - same cabin noises plus more (see review) Wind Issues?: No Connecting Cabin? Where Does it Connect?: No Suite Details: N/A Advantages/Problems/Comments: Noise. Do not book. With earplugs I still could not tolerate the noise enough to sleep. Requested a room change. Had to wait a few days to get a new room -- I suspect someone else left the room we were moved to. The Beyond has a big problem with noise. Other people who were in cabins 12276 and 12278 were also overwhelmed with how loud it was all night and all day. Would You Book It Again?: I will not sail on the Beyond ever again Photos or Photo Links: 399432159_24080323014944528_667893179869247766_n.mp4
  6. Our friends had an Oceanview Balcony (one of the few cabins that looks like an Oceanview but has a typical door going out to an alcove balcony) and they had zero noise. I think it is the new style veranda windows and the doors that go with them, coupled with the ceiling tiles. But I haven't heard about this issue on the Apex or Edge.
  7. Did the transatlantic on the Beyond in October and I have never been awake for more hours in a row. I made the mistake of booking a cabin under the Oceanview --- way at the back I thought I would be safe (and from pictures thought we were more cantilevered out - my error). But the noise was not the kitchen or the diners .. the cabin was just creaking the whole time. We asked to be moved but only got a cabin on the opposite side that was a little farther forward (now under the stools on the port side -- not an improvement). We just sucked it up and napped a lot. But I sent a video of the noise home to a fellow cruiser who had been on the Beyond and he was shocked. Popping, creaking, banging. This is a problem in some cabins, some areas. They have tried to play with the framing around the balcony doors and in the ceiling when people call for support but in the end, there is just a lot of noise on some cabins (and in the hallways). I would recommend staying away from any Concierge cabin on 12 in the aft. I'd also think the "middle, middle' rule might apply -- middle of the ship, middle level. But I have only been on the one cruise with Beyond. Could just be completely random (although everyone we spoke to near us on 12 were experiencing noise).
  8. Found this on the MDR changes on RCL. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2023/01/07/first-look-royal-caribbeans-new-main-dining-room-menus
  9. I read about the new streamlined menus on RCL. No more 'left side/ 'classic'. I wondered if X was following suit as my upcoming cruise has no menus in MDR beyond kids menus (in the APP)
  10. Was on Princess back last April and I was served the weirdest dish ever. Asian Noodle Stir fry... where the description indicated carrots, onions, celery, bean sprouts etc. What I was served was a bowl of the deep fried crispy noodles you put on your chow mein, or you coat in chocolate at Christmas if you are into that sort of 'baking'. ONE matchstick carrot, TWO pieces of celery and 4 bean sprouts and a bowl of chow mein garnish with a splash of soy sauce. Bizarre. Some meals were good but I generally felt portions were really small, late (45 minutes per course?), and cold. And yes, the waiting time of 45 minutes to be seated even if you used the slower than dial-up APP each day app to book... just exhausting.
  11. All ships, all venues, same menu for kids
