I think the funnel is supposed to show the Italian heritage of the ship, but I feel like they could have done something better...

On 6 it’s like. Not a regular door. Watertight door I think. I don’t know if that’s normal on deck 6 or not. I’ve never stayed in a forward room below deck 7. I need to check out the other decks a see what they’ve got. Some times that waterproof door will be propped open and you can go out. Sometimes it’s closed and I’m not sure how to operate it so i don’t mess with it.

What is a water proof door? Is it this picture you posted?

Yeah that little bell being blue means I’ll get alerts on that game. I have the mlb app alerts as well so I get double alerts on some of it. But mlb sends me the lineup card which I like.

I get those score notifications too... even if I don't have any internet package. But it's great of course being able to follow my Orioles when I'm out at sea.

I don't believe so. Give them a call to confirm though.

Not that I’m aware of - my DH and I sailed with them in March and got talking to a Canadian gentleman who was sailing with his British wife. My understanding was that he was resident in the UK but still travelling on a Canadian passport. I think there is often an assumption that because they sail out of the UK and are very much aimed at the “British market” (whatever that means) that there are restrictions. However I also think they don’t make it easy for non-UK residents to book… I think Saga have a similar reputation. As previously suggested I’d contact them direct to discuss the options.

It doesn't look that way from their terms & conditions.

I suggest you email them on guestservices@ambassadorcruiseline.com

My husband is travelling on his Canadian passport.  They never asked for his UK residency status.

I would just confirm whether the travel insurance requirement pertains to citizens of other countries and if so, ensure they accept your insurance.

I emailed and they confirmed that anyone can book. Thank you all for your help!

  5. I take that back. On Saturday he is going to fly to Barcelona for a night to meet travel agents. The next day he is going to go to Tarragona (close to Barcelona) and get on Venezia because it will be docked there for one night before going to Barcelona early the next morning. He will record a tour of the ship on Sunday, then meet guests in the lobby and talking to Christine Duffy on Monday (departure date). He will then fly to New York on the 12th (home first of course) to film something special then host a ceremony on Venezia on the 14th.

Navantia is the name of the cadiz shipyard, famous for the sunshine conversion on the 3 ships

mariinetraffic websites shows the venezia arrived on the 16

2/3, Sunshine was done in Italy at the same place it was built in 1996 funnily enough.

Is there that much more demand to fill up Vista, Mardi Gras and now Venezia? Not even including Freedom and Glory which do the shorter run.

Port Canaveral has said that all the ships from there have been more than 100% capacity 🤷‍♂️

Also there are 5 ships from Miami

You may see me posting more than one question in a couple cruise sights, and I have another question here.

    Ask away!

Within the past year when booking a Carnival cruise, did you use an agent that you knew, booked it on line, or called and got a personal Carnival agent?

I booked online but you should call a Carnival PVP. It was too late for me to book through her but she said that if you book through them, they can lower the price if there is a discount
