  1. There was a guest at the Elite breakfast one morning that wanted Tomato juice separate from his vodka and waiter said it was pre mixed. He raised hell but finally got his tomato juice.
  2. I'm wondering how much use we can get from it during a TA in April perhaps first couple days then when in Spain and Portugal. Last year on Apex it was cold and windy during our crossing.
  3. Is sunset bar different on Ascent from Edge and Apex? I will be on both ships within the next month.
  4. I use a CVP and have given him lots of business over the years also brought him new customers so I guess thats the reason.
  5. Well if they're laughing at you then they are at me as well as I put in the minimum just haven't heard yet.
  6. I didn't realize they let you know if you don't win your bid. I've also bid on a SV but haven't received notification
  7. If you are Elite plus specialty coffees teas are included or if not just pay as you go.
  8. Thats a great way to look at it.
  9. I don't buy the package either. Celebrity gives me 2 bottles and I bring 1 from home. I am Elite plus so take advantage of the HH and that works for me. I usually purchase fairly pricey wines at home but wait until they get discounted at 20 to 30 off. Last week scored a Belle Glos pinot which had 2 markdowns due to overstock from xmas. Usually retails for $70 but would never pay that. Bought 6 bottles at $39 each. CAD.
  10. When I was on the Apex TA last spring I went to Eden where it was held but didn't care for most of the wines and others I had already tried so I just left. This time I have already committed myself for the Ascent TA in April at 29% off. I tried to book it for my Beyond sailing this month but only 10% off. I called and girl on phone asked supervisor and she said no. Oh well I give her credit for trying. And who knows if I fancy the wines I'll probably sign up on board but asking sommelier in advance is a great idea.
  11. I paid $43 CAD which is around $31 US pretty good price; wouldn't get it for that onboard.
  12. No it definitely was a cab and a pretty good one although I also enjoy malbecs even carmenere.
  13. Do they just serve samples of food? How does this work? I may book it on my Ascent sailing
  14. I remember one cruise they ran out of an Argentina cab before we tried it so sommelier brought out a bottle from a restaurant and 4 us shared it after the tour ended.
  15. I just booked it for an upcoming cruise as it is 29% off today. I said I wouldn't do again but its a TA with 8 sea days. Price was excellent IMO.
  16. Its 6 white 6 red from various countries. Most are from the basic package but it varies from ship and sailing. You get an hour to try all the wines and rate them. I just signed up for my 13 night TA cruise as it was 29% off as opposed to 10% so I thought nothing to lose at that price.
  17. I wouldn't worry too much worse they can do is hold it till end of cruise.
  18. They are not RMT's but some as good or even better. I just cancelled mine refund was $258 CAD for 75 minutes and that was with a 15% discount.
  19. When I was on Princess last month I mentioned I had some knee arthritis. The girl immediately tried to sell me Elemis cooling gel saying it would help. 😆. It was nice but I've seen it quite cheap at home. She did a great massage but I was surprised their training is only for a month so she said.
  20. After reading all these posts I decided to cancel my massage on the beyond next month. Yes its expensive and the only time available was 3 pm on embarkation day. Plus as stated I don't get to pick the massage therapist. I had a fantastic massage on a Princess cruise last month but had also previously taken advantage of the samplers they offered in fact had 3 of them and chose the 1 I thought was best. If they offer a promo on a sea day I may take advantage. I think the money can be put to better use and I don't have tons of OBC.
  21. Its reduced deposit and OBC depending on cruise length and cabin category.
  22. I know they have them in your cabin and I thought the price was around $9 plus gratuities. I will have room in my case so may bring 1 possibly 2 bottles with me. I can get them for a buck in Canada when they go on sale. Small bottles are bulky to pack
  23. When I had the beverage package it was also hard to get perrier always had san pellegrino available. This time I'm bringing my own small bottles onboard. I can't remember but 7.50 or 9.50 a bottle is outrageous and I believe gratuities are added to it.
