  1. Thank you so much for your live. I love your reviews, your writing style is engaging and humorous. Your photography skills are amazing and your photos help share an appreciation for things we often just overlook. You and your Dad have a special bond that some of us don’t or didn’t have. Thank you for sharing your relationship in such a funny way. I will never forget Dad’s full Monty moment from last cruise…it will always make me laugh. I can only imagine the emotions you must have felt when the pompous and presumptuous GS team showed so little regard to you and Dad’s value as loyal, high-paying NCL guests. That is the team that needs to get the boot. All-in-all, soooo happy you made lasting memories and you took us along. Thank you and your handsome, somewhat forgetful main character. ❤️
  2. Do we have yours and @debenson0723 vote for 6/5 Viva? If so, should we (@cruiseny4life 🤣) update the spreadsheet?
  3. Following along. I’m curious about your thoughts on the Sky vs. the Pearl. We sail her next year and it will be the smallest ship we’ve ever sailed. Enjoy your break from working. YOLO. (That’s probably outdated now…but so am I.)
  4. @cruiseny4life @schmoopie17 Okay…in looking at the spreadsheet a little further, it looks like @ggTexasGal and @MagnoliaBlossom already have the 1/10/26 Viva booked. It’s a 14-day out of Galveston to Caribbean. As much as we’ve been to the Caribbean, I can honestly say that 6 out of 9 ports we’ve not yet visited. I definitely could be okay with this itinerary, too. And, there’s a government holiday during this time which helps with anyone strapped for time off. so…@cruiseny4life…can you add in comments my other choice 😊
  5. I can’t add…but the itinerary I would be inclined to cruise would be the 6/5 on Viva. Can you put me down for that one?
  6. Right?!? I’m so glad that our May cruise on the Jewel all I asked for was $200 OBC for our unacceptable cabin noise…all day and all night long! I, too, had to stand at GS counter stating I wouldn’t leave until I spoke with GS manager. While it did take me 1.5 days…going every three hours, I did finally get resolution. Sad when there are known issues that the guest has to spend so much vacation time in anger-mode.
  7. @graphicguy I would love to meet you and help celebrate your birthday…maybe someday, but not on NCL Getaway to Bermuda. I had actually booked the week of June 15 for my DH birthday. At the time I booked was the same time that NCL was not disclosing Port Fees snd Taxes on some browsers until final payment screen. I contacted my PCC, told her to book the cruise and that’s when she told me it was $800 more than I expected. I went ahead and booked, and for 2 in a regular balcony + standard travel protection, the cost was $4500. Yikes. I started looking around. While not the same dates, both June and August are Atlantic hurricane season. I ended up booking MSC Meraviglia out of Brooklyn to Bermuda for 7 nights starting August 24. Total cost for 2 in Aurea balcony with drinks, unlimited 1 device each wifi, MyTime dining, thermal spa access, travel protection and $225 OBC for $2798. Crazy difference. Needless to say, I canceled the NCL cruise. A pre-cruise meetup in NYC with CCers celebrating your birthday might actually be doable. We love NYC…but June…it better be somewhere with good A/C🤣
  8. Yes, I can visualize you in your white/blue ensemble, complete with cane, top hat and baby blues…just as clearly as I can visualize the Queen’s Royalty grrumphs, eye rolls, Pearl-clutching snd oh-mys🤣 p.s. I love your style😊
  9. I actually visualized the cane, too! And, yes…I’m positive you would captivate the hearts of many! Unfortunately, I would likely not be a witness.
  10. Perhaps the NCL fleetwide practice of 1x daily housekeeping has finally had a cumulative effect whereby yesterday’s uncleanliness just piles onto today’s uncleanliness and then on to tomorrow. Sounds like it’s time to do some deep cleaning and perhaps re-evaluate staffing.
  11. @mking8288 oh Lordy…I’m unsure those Cunard Royalists are ready for our beloved @cruiseny4life. I actually can picture Cruiseny4life in the white tux, baby blue trim with matching top hat🙃. It looks like you and the family are truly enjoying your cruise. And, I’m truly enjoying your LIVE. But I have to say I have mixed feelings on whether I would enjoy Cunard…it just seems a little too formal for me.
  12. We’ve used Port Parking Space three times this past year and find them to be very convenient and organized. Also, on our last trip we stayed at a brand new Holiday Inn Express just across the street from the port and around the corner from Port Parking Space.
  13. Chief…looks like managing your cruise itineraries is a full-time job. Sounds like my kind of job!!
  14. With the creamer packets, if you bend them back and forth horizontally where the little groove is, most of them (not all) tear open much more easily.
  15. Check it out again! We had no issues getting to the hole. In fact water pressure was so good the lighter-weight tubers were going in backwards. I always wanted to try rock climbing but have never had the courage…especially with an audience. Wishing you an Epic TA.
  16. Yeah I know the price we paid was nice! With your cruise being longer and a TA you should have more time to enjoy. Re: the Epic. I find it to be whimsical. The artwork is quirky, there’s an escalator on one deck midship, the cabins are odd…but we loved her. I highly recommend a trip down the funnel slide. Even for a senior like me, it was so much fun. Enjoy your cruise!! EDIT…I reread and see you’ve sailed Epic a few times. Have you done the slide?
  17. We got POSH passes in Feb ‘23…when they were $59 each. Even at that price we didn’t enjoy the experience. We were on a southern Caribbean cruise and the umbrellas were not allowed, even when docked, due to wind. Most of the space is in the sun. There are a few seats in the shade, but they are very deep barrel back so if you’re not really tall they are not comfortable. But, if the ship is moving it could be nice even the sun. It does have a very nice bar…small, but covered and goid drinks.
  18. While I’m not a germaphobic, the lack of wax paper covering in the basket irks me. I understand cost cutting, but at least buy a piece of wax paper large enough to keep the food from touching the table.
  19. Wow that’s a considerable difference of May vs June.
  20. It’s actually not lit, but they light it there, in a very nondescript circle of stones, for the start of every Olympics. Big ceremony with sunlight, reflection and Greek Goddesses. The Olympic museum there blew me away with the ancient artifacts. @cruiseny4life Regardless which itinerary…I’ll try to make it work! Although I’ll have to change a Princess Norway/Iceland we booked for June. #SchmoopieFest
  21. @schmoopie17 10-day Viva in May is doable. So is 7-day in April. I also really like the 10-day in June itinerary. The addition of Mykonos (suggest visiting Delos), Olympia (visiting the original Olympic site where they still light the torch every Olympics) and Dubrovnik is nice. And weather in June seems to still be mild (highs in low 80’s).
