Please explain Cruise Next vs. Cruise First.

I’m not exactly certain, but my educated guess is that NCL has removed expiration dates (probably not long term) to “pretty up” their balance sheet. By having a longer window for redemption they can spread out the revenue liability over an infinite number of years. The emails and T&Cs which state to use before 4 years are really to encourage you to use it so NCL can finally account for the CN purchase as actual revenue. -
IKR. I was suspicious too. Actually I have been waiting for this month to see what all they are changing on the F&B side, as well as entertainment.

Wow, such an unusual move for NCL. Gotta love it!!

We loved our Prima cruise (NYC to Bermuda). Some of my tips: **Use the FWD lifts if convenient…more of them vs AFT. Elevator banks on both Port and SB sides and they drop you right at the atrium. Nevermind this comment as I see you’re in Haven. **When in the casino, use the Belvedere Bar (which is Aft of casino)…always less crowded than atrium bar. **The chairs behind Starbucks are comfy and offer a great view. They seem to turnover fairly quick. **Enter the theater on Deck 6, port side. Always less crowded and there is a bar right inside. We’re counting down the days with you!

Well, perhaps. But…I will tell you, without a doubt, it’s better than what I get at home. Ouch…I’m the chef. 😊

Two large ships nearly identical…same itinerary…late season. My guess is that the pricing strategy for NCL would be to balance the occupancy between the ships. Cruise Plum doesn’t necessarily reflect occupancy, the prices between the two ships are being manually adjusted so no one ship fills more than the other. It’s likely why right when Bliss rates went up, they dropped Encore to adjust for the “uptick” they believed they would get by dropping the Latitude Event and 10% coupon.

I wonder if the increased price is partially inflated by NCL to offset the costs of hosting a special event, as well as offering a 10% discount. I doubt NCL would host an event that cost them $$$ without someway to recoup that investment. That being said, it looks like from the roll call that this event has generated some interest and excitement from Latitudes members. Bliss and Alaska are both nice. I’m certain you will fully enjoy your cruise.
