Some of us (me) operate very methodically. Which has, on many occasions, provided for an enhanced experience. Others, are perfectly fine with allowing the experience to unfold more naturally…which I’m sure also provides, at times, an enhanced experience. If OP likes reservations…don’t tell them why they don’t need them. It’s just a preference..

Just go to the podium and give them your room number as though you have a reservation. That way they know you’re Platinum. But I do think you should be able to reserve on board.

While they are no longer taking advance reservations, I am fairly certain you can make them onboard. At least we could in May. Being Platinum, I have found that even if you do not have reservations, they typically take you before others with lower loyalty status.

When you mentioned Marshall’s I had to laugh. I, too, wandered inside for AC and a quick review of offerings. Upon exiting I, too, spotted the unique “poet’s passage” and took a very similar pix. Thanks for the memories 😊

With your experience, you can see the fluctuations the NCLH stock has. At $16-ish, there is room for growth. Why not buy now…use the $100 OBC to better enjoy your September cruise experience, if you are not sold on nCL cruises for the future…time your sell so you breakeven or gain more. I recommend using $25 to buy the two lobster tails in the MDR.

I know earlier in your review you shared what package you have. Is it Plus or Premier? When you have the package do you only get to order the $14.99 package ? Just trying to figure out how Princess does things.

I see you and I are in the same boat…and it’s not a cruise ship. We have an MSC cruise out of Barcelona for the beginning of November. However, my MIL, who has Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, is moving in with us next week while we wait for a bed in a nearby nursing home. God only knows how this will pan out 🤷‍♀️. Yeah, sorry for the first part of my response…I got ahead of your post. Are you doing Balcony or OV on Europa? Balcony Aurea without the Aurea experience doesn’t get you much more except location and balcony size. I was hoping your experience showed Aurea…that would be awesome for you.😊

Look at your booking confirmation. On the first page it will list what your “Experience” is, along with your cabin number. On about page 5 it will outline what is included in your Experience. You may have an Aurea cabin but still have Fantastica experience. As far as cabins, Aurea balcony cabin is typically same as other balcony cabins (Bella/Fantastica) but with a mid-ship location and sometimes a larger balcony…especially on Deck 9 (or first deck with cabins). EDIT: if you have an OV on Europa, this might be helpful.

We like to take NCL transfers. We find the convenience outweighs the extra cost. We don’t book flights before 1 pm…and we like the departure time/process for NCL transfers. Like everything else on CC…opinions vary, so you do you.

Hey there, check out the 8/24/2026 MSC Meraviglia YC to Bermuda. We’re on this sailing (not in YC of course 🤣). But we do have Aurea. We canceled a 6/2026 NCL cruise on Getaway to Bermuda after finding MSC for half the cost.

Yum. The buffet spread looked tasty. Especially the paella (of which I know you can’t comment). Have you found enough variety for a vegetarian? Do you find it is much easier to dine in buffet vs MDR?
