I would be interested to know why you consider Princess a better experience. We were thinking of Iona for next year .....but keep reading mixed reviews.

no, i didn't....if I recall it was in two different dining rooms and at different times with different waiters. If I was dining same time same table/staff each night, then of course I would have mentioned it.... but we don't wish to tie ourselves down to that type of dining.

Had this on Sky in June in Norway.....tables only cleared after all 5 of the 2 tops had finished.....likewise, all tables served the next course at the same time. Can appreciate it may be efficient for the staff....poor for the customers. Very slow service....risotto was cool and stodgy and the creme brule was fridge-cold. had this type of service twice in the first 3 days of a 14-day cruise......gave MDR a miss after that

Just wondering if there has been an increase in queues since Princess did away with arrival times recently.? I know that your arrival group time was not asked for at Southampton, but am curious to know if regular cruisers have noticed any difference...eg for passengers on the terminal or cars waiting for CPS since the change.

so...at the moment I have a cruise booked for Sep 2034... I have a Plus package which provides 15 alco drinks per 24-hour period....if in 11 mths' time, after I have paid in full, Princess changes the Plus package to 10 alco drinks per 24 hrs...do you think I have the right to be aggrieved....over to you @ldtr

Agree 100%..... I no longer have any faith in Princess to be honorable and fair......this recent episode clearly demonstrates they don't give a damn ...rest assured that this is the first of many more "tweaks" akin to this in the future.

We were in Norway earlier this year on Sky. There was an excursion that had a coach trip that was similar in length to yours. I asked at Shore Excursions about onboard toilets on the coach.....their response indicated that they had no idea and basically couldn't give a damn.........@ over $150 pp, that's a piss poor attitude.

That does not sound good....and I think you may be correct about the removal of allocated arrival times. In June we arrived at Southampton dock 10.30 (in our car) queued for 15 mins to park the car... dropped our luggage (no queue)...straight to the embarkation desk and on board in 20 mins
