Two questions concerning Wonder of the Seas
Halfpound replied to Reijo's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Just curious- once you boarded where was the quickest place to go to make your dining reservations - my family of six have the 3 night speciality dining package and I’m nervous that we are going to have a hard time securing reservations- thanks so much -
Wonder of the Seas impressions 3/17-3/24
Halfpound replied to danoconnl's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Thank you so much for this information. We will plan on getting to the terminal for 10 am and hope for the best. Do you happen to know if you have to go to the Hibachi restaurant separately to make a reservation there? We also have a casita reservation for both sea days, where and when do we make those reservations? Thanks again -

Thank you for sharing your post about the Wonder. My family of six have the 3 night dining package. We have an 11:30 boarding arrival time- where would the best place be to go and make our speciality dining reservations which we will do first thing. You mentioned a kiosk? Location? Are we better off going to one of their restaurants? Regarding the hibachi restaurant, do you have to go there to make a reservation? Thanks -
Thank you for your review. My family of six are on the Wonder in April. Regarding the shows, could you please tell me which nights and times they are? I’m trying to plan our dinner times. Thank you

We are on the Wonder in April and have purchased the Casita for both our sea days. Any location suggestions would be appreciated. We enjoy the pool but don’t want to be near smokers. Do we go to Lime and Coconuts upon embarkation to reserve?

Family of six (4 that want to Zipline) are looking into doing an excursion with South Shore Adventures. Besides the Ziplining/Beach excursion they also offer an Observer/ Beach excursion in which the other two would do. Is anyone familiar with this tour company? Would the two that don’t want to Zipline be better off just meeting them at Paradise Beach after their Ziplining or are we better off staying together? South Shore provides all transportation with 2.5 hours of beach time.

We’ve never been to CocoCay. The 12 and 14 year olds are doing the Water Park and the Ziplining. Any suggestions of an area where the rest of the family (4 adults) should head to in relation to where they will be? Do you mind telling me approximately what you paid for that last minute cabana? The prices right now are crazy. Thanks so much

Thanks for the information. We signed up for the 3 night dining package and were just wondering which restaurants to pick. When were you able to sign up for the shows?

My family of six (two teenager grandchildren) will be on her April 2024. Did you do any of the speciality restaurants, if so which ones? How were the shows? The itinerary is Cozumel, Roatan and Costa Maya and two sea days. Any suggestions if you had these ports? Thank you so much George

We stayed there one cruise before and it was nice. I booked the Hilton Garden Inn Cocoa Beach for this cruise because it’s on the beach and we have our two teenage grandchildren with us.
-
Thank you so much. Curious of where you stayed. We are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Cocoa Beach- any thoughts?
-
Thank you I am assuming that was an Uber price you paid. We will probably go with Cruise Control’s private van for the six of us which the price was quoted at $200 each way.
-
Thank you so much for the suggestions. Appreciate it.

My family of 6 will be flying into MCO to go on a cruise out of Port Canaveral. I am looking for a transportation from the airport to a hotel in Cocoa Beach. I was wondering what an Uber XL would approximately cost or if there is a transportation company we could use. Thank you

Renting Jeep: Is it too much to do or better just doing a beach day?
Halfpound replied to BoozinCroozin's topic in Aruba
I actually did not go with renting the jeep because of our timeframe. When I did originally do the booking I was persistent on getting them to extend their hours but at a price. I do have to say that I saw some of their jeep rentals and they seemed to be very nice. -
Thank you so much for that information. Just curious what did you do on your own out of LaRomano? I’ve arranged for a taxi to take us (privately 4 of us) to the Hilton Resort for a day pass. Round trip fare will be $60. Does that sound about right to you? I’ve been told it’s about 25-30 minutes away. Thanks again!

I have been informed that when you leave the LaRomano cruise port area you will be charged a tax fee of $7.50 per person. Does anyone know if this is true?

My family of four need transportation from Fort Lauderdale airport to the Westin Hotel in Fort Lauderdale beach. Be picked up at hotel and brought to cruise terminal and then be picked up from cruise terminal and brought back to airport. Would an Uber or Lyft be the way to go or hire a private transport company. Approximate Uber cost? Thanks

Renting Jeep: Is it too much to do or better just doing a beach day?
Halfpound replied to BoozinCroozin's topic in Aruba
I also rented a jeep from Jays car rental with extended hours because our ship is there from 1pm to midnight. I rented it from 1:30 to 9:00pm and will pick up at the cruise terminal. I’m paying $220. We are there with our two grandchildren 11 & 14 wanting to do some site seeing, beaching with some wave runners and then go back to ship freshen up and go to dinner at a fun place. Am I overestimating what we can do and if not any suggestions of where to go? Thanks -
