Is there time to change to a different cabin (maybe on deck 7) instead? Even if it is a little more money, it might be worth it for the little ones to be able to sleep. :)
-
$830 in price drops? That is quite a change in cruise fare. You must have seriously overpaid for your cabin when you booked! :p

It has been a few years, but we were in 7451 on Liberty and it was a great cabin. Yes the balcony could get warm, and there was more vibration than normal, but it is not one of the skinny rooms and we liked it very much! :)

I can't believe anyone would think the right thing to do is taking the item home with them! As the more intelligent posters have pointed out, the correct procedure is to turn it in to guest services. How this is up to debate is beyond me

Conquest has an adults only pool. No Serenity. Love, love the Conquest..........
Ok thanks!
-
Does Conquest have any adults-only pool areas, or other spots where children are discouraged? We usually spend sea days on the Serenity deck, but apparently that does not exist on the Conquest.:(

Thanks for the great review, we are doing this itinerary later this year, cant wait! :D

This simply isn't so. John Heald says if you want twice a day service ask and you shall receive. Our card last week was printed with the word "Both" right on there.
Yet you have two separate cruisers from two separate ships telling you they did NOT get an option for twice a day. Who do you believe?

Other than bringing additional towels (if needed) or re-filling an ice bucket, are you folks that messy that your room REALLY requires a second cleaning 8 hours after the morning cleaning ?
IMHO, this is just one more trivial thing folks grouse about that really is insignificant.
Just because it is not important to you does not mean others do not value that service. I'm sure there are plenty of things you feel are important that others would prefer to do without. Nice addition to the thread.

Having sailed on all 3, I prefer Breeze best. Try a cove balcony (Deck 2) :)

My expectations were pretty low, but somehow Carnival still under-delivered. Why oh why was there a 2 month build up to this?
Well said :)
I am still going to book suites, but it's for the extra square feet...as plats we already get the perks.

Anyone know if Carnival accepts email submissions for the owners credit? Don't have access to a fax machine. In the past I always mailed it.
Email guestadmin@carnival.com
Include your name, booking #, ship, and sail date. Attach your statement too, of course!
I usually get a response within a few days at the most.

To me, cabin choice is way too important to leave to chance. It is just not worth the savings to lose the option of choosing a specific location.
Sorry your cruise got off to a rough start...hopefully it got a lot better! :)

I love carnival, but given the choices and price options I would go with the mini-suite on NCL. :)

Not sure why Conquest would have a different menu (unless it is a "test?"), but there was definitely smoked salmon on the breakfast card menu 3 weeks ago on the Glory :)

Jump off the side.
Someone took the question a bit too literally :p
Unfortunately self-assist can be very frustrating (and the staff sometimes has no interest in enforcing the priority rules), but it is still the fastest way to safely disembark

First week of September on Glory had a kids movie one night and hunger games another night. Not sure how many other nights had movies, as we mostly did inside activities (comedy, shows, etc.). We also saw people bringing the popcorn (presumably from the movies) back inside. :)

I love fish and chips, and all fried seafood...but on the Glory last month evertyhing we tried (calamari, oysters, fish, french fries) was VERY greasy. It was very disappointing compared to years past on Freedom and Liberty. Sounds like the greasy trend is fleetwide :(

You might want to reconsider the port you have chosen for your special dinner. Not being mean, but Belize is not exactly the best place to find upscale anything.

Boarding Glory in Miami on August 29th was very similar. The "Captain's Lounge" was full of Diamonds, Plats, and FTTF. They came in and called the whole room at one time. It wasn't that bad as we were still among the first on board, but not the orderly process that some ports have. I had a funship special by 11:45am. :)

It was free for my wife when we sailed on Celebrity last fall. Of course that cruise was more expensive than most of the Carnival cruises we have taken, so it wasn't really free. It seems that perhaps the RCL lines offer it for free? Not sure. I know we paid about $3 a bottle on Carnival in April. While it is only about $0.88 a bottle at Walmart, I am willing to pay $3-4 not to have to lug it on to the ship.
We had a real ordeal getting it on the Paradise. Called when we were on board and were told they didn't have any. That wouldn't be an option. My wife uses it for a NediPot, not for CPAP. So we aren't taking a chance with tap water that could also be using local port water. Dangerous stuff in there when using a NediPot. When the first person said they had none on the ship, we called back and got someone else on the phone who had it delivered rather quickly. So the same goes on the ship as it does when you call regular customer service on land.
Exactly my point. You don't want to take a chance on tap water, but you want something for free that anyone (3k+ passengers) can request at any time? Make it $3 and the demand will drop, and your wife will get her distilled water every time.

If you really want the upsell, I do not think waiting until Monday is a good idea. As far as speculation for the cost...in my experience with upsells they really haven't been that less than the full price difference.
-
I don't understand why anyone thinks it should be free. Paying $3 or $4 for a gallon sounds more than fair to me.
PDF doc listing sauce ingredients, etc.

That would be awesome to have! :)
Are you sure the one you saw was an official Carnival document? It seems unlikely they would want something like that circling around...just like restaurants were adamantly opposed to having to list ingredients. However, I would love to have this information also!;)
