It sounds like we will be in this same cabin in a few weeks. Is there shade on the balcony in the late afternoons?
Cove balconies are much more enclosed than "normal" ones...they are much more shaded :)

Room Service isn't really meant as a true alternative to the other Lunch and Dinner options...but it is very convenient when you just want a little snack on your balcony :)
I agree the breakfast options could be better, but there is just enough to get us started for the day :p

Beginner's SCUBA in St Thomas was great! :D
Also have had several good experiences with "all-inclusive beach day" types of excursions :)

What on earth are you buying on there? We only put 200.00 each(total 400.00) on it and got over 100.00 back.
Drinks are expensive :p
We also leave our Autotips on the S&S, usually do a couple of shore excursions, buy a few trinkets...it adds up! :D

We were in 7451 on the Liberty a few years ago and LOVED it! :)
Yes there are some drawbacks, but overall it is a very good experience.

Wow I have no idea how you guys can get enough onboard credit to have a refund at the end! Even with the shareholder credit, we usually owe about $700 by the end of the cruise!

4 Adults in one "standard" cabin is 2 too many!

Great entertaining review!
That last pic of the beds made me wonder why you didn't ask for them to be made into a king? Would it get you in trouble because of the cheers switcheroo?
Looking forward to more! :)

I am curious if the quality changes with the split from George Lopez?
The only change is for the better! Now we dont have to watch his asinine video intro for the 100th time

We are going to Curacao on a cruise in October, are there any excursions that take you to Venezuela? I see it is about 70 miles, and we will be there a long time.
You can't just "pop in" to Venezuela, it requires a travel visa...it's on the naughty list :p

Hello!! It's pomegranate flavored syrup people, not moonshine... Smuggling grenadine, really?
Agreed, this is silly. Take the Grenadine, it's not "smuggling"

We were under the galley once...and I will never make that mistake again. I don't know what they were doing at 3am, but it was noisy enough to wake us up and lasted about 2 hours. :o
-
And dont forget 24 hour room service! Some options now are paid, but most are many free items :)
-
They used to do $1 off screwdrivers and mimosas in the morning...not exactly happy hour, more like "Hair of the dog" hour :p

ok thanks for the response! :)

Just off Valor with oceanview suite (jr. suite) 9206 had sofa bed so would fit 3. Regular size balcony but had 2 chairs, table and lounge.Loved the space.early into room and first departure.
Not to derail the thread, but did you take any pictures from the balcony? I have heard that the Captain's suite next door can be intrusive? We are in 9206 (Conquest, but should be same layout as Valor) and I'm worried I may prefer a regular Ocean Suite. Any other tidbits about the Junior Suite?
Thanks!:)

... We have also seen people eating at the bar.
This seems strange to me, do you mean they ordered their regular full price meal at the bar? What other food would be offered at the Steakhouse bar? I haven't seen a separate appetizer menu (not that you need MORE food if you are already eating there!)
-
Yes not interested in the deluxe ocean views, I need a balcony! :p
The captain's suites are available but just a tad pricey (about 6k), but I was trying to decide between GS and OS, to justify the price difference. I think OS will be fine for 2 of us :)

Strange question, but I'm not seeing definitive information anywhere. I know the Captains Suite has 2 toilets, but not sure about others.
Does anyone know which suites have 2 toilets on Conquest class ships? It appears that Ocean Suites do not. Do Grand Suites?
Thanks! :)

If you pick your cabin, you will not be moved involuntarily. The "upgrade" is already applied when they show you the cabins to choose from.
Choose wisely ;)

You are suggesting a crime was committed? Sure it's possible, but the odds are against it.

We found chairs around the main pool every day without a problem. Loved the lay out of the Conquest. The tiered deck seemed to add additional chair space and there were always a couple empty ones. Maybe we just got lucky. We never made it out to the deck before late morning - early afternoon.
Yes we have done multiple cruises on Freedom, Liberty, and Glory and like the layout also. Thanks for the info on Conquest!

There is a serenity deck, it is lust forward and without a pool.
On sea days, I usually find a shady spot at the Blue Iguana or Red Frog and just chill. Also spent a lot of time at the adult pool near the bar.
I found there were always chairs available, but usually on the deck above Lido. I no longer get upset at the chair hogs ( I guess they won), since there will never be solution that works. I just expect that every ship (not just Carnival) and resort will have this problem. Since I am not about to get up at 6:00 and bo one of them, I have adapted to other areas.
Have fun

Great news, I am pretty sure I read Conquest didn't have Serenity, but glad to know! Thanks!:)

Where did you hang out on sea days? We usually spend time on the serenity deck (adults only) but there isn't one on Conquest. What was the deck chair situation?
Why does it take Carnival so long to process a request for shareholder OBC?

I always email mine...and the longest it has taken was 3 days. Most other times it was within 24 hours.
Just email guestadmin@carnival.com with a pdf of your shares and booking information, no need to mess with antiquated facsimile machinery :D
