  1. Room Service isn't really meant as a true alternative to the other Lunch and Dinner options...but it is very convenient when you just want a little snack on your balcony :)

I agree the breakfast options could be better, but there is just enough to get us started for the day :p

  2. What on earth are you buying on there? We only put 200.00 each(total 400.00) on it and got over 100.00 back.

    Drinks are expensive :p

We also leave our Autotips on the S&S, usually do a couple of shore excursions, buy a few trinkets...it adds up! :D

  3. Wow I have no idea how you guys can get enough onboard credit to have a refund at the end! Even with the shareholder credit, we usually owe about $700 by the end of the cruise!

  4. We are going to Curacao on a cruise in October, are there any excursions that take you to Venezuela? I see it is about 70 miles, and we will be there a long time.

You can't just "pop in" to Venezuela, it requires a travel visa...it's on the naughty list :p

  5. Just off Valor with oceanview suite (jr. suite) 9206 had sofa bed so would fit 3. Regular size balcony but had 2 chairs, table and lounge.Loved the space.early into room and first departure.

Not to derail the thread, but did you take any pictures from the balcony? I have heard that the Captain's suite next door can be intrusive? We are in 9206 (Conquest, but should be same layout as Valor) and I'm worried I may prefer a regular Ocean Suite. Any other tidbits about the Junior Suite?

    Thanks!:)

  6. ... We have also seen people eating at the bar.

This seems strange to me, do you mean they ordered their regular full price meal at the bar? What other food would be offered at the Steakhouse bar? I haven't seen a separate appetizer menu (not that you need MORE food if you are already eating there!)

  7. We found chairs around the main pool every day without a problem. Loved the lay out of the Conquest. The tiered deck seemed to add additional chair space and there were always a couple empty ones. Maybe we just got lucky. We never made it out to the deck before late morning - early afternoon.

Yes we have done multiple cruises on Freedom, Liberty, and Glory and like the layout also. Thanks for the info on Conquest!

  8. There is a serenity deck, it is lust forward and without a pool.

On sea days, I usually find a shady spot at the Blue Iguana or Red Frog and just chill. Also spent a lot of time at the adult pool near the bar.

I found there were always chairs available, but usually on the deck above Lido. I no longer get upset at the chair hogs ( I guess they won), since there will never be solution that works. I just expect that every ship (not just Carnival) and resort will have this problem. Since I am not about to get up at 6:00 and bo one of them, I have adapted to other areas.

    Have fun

Great news, I am pretty sure I read Conquest didn't have Serenity, but glad to know! Thanks!:)
