My new passport arrived yesterday, well ahead of the pre-strike estimate of May 15 and despite 8 days of strike.

Well that depends. Before I changed my flights a couple of weeks ago both my outbound and inbound flights were ticketed for Sep/Oct 2023. After the change 2 weeks ago my outbound flights are ticketed.

The class (J or W or Y) may be the same, but is the fare bucket the same? Are the privileges the same (seat selection, cancelation, checked bags)?

I have a multi city itinerary booked with EZAir. Air France to Ottawa to Barcelona, Air Canada home to Ottawa from Athens. Business class both ways. Fare was significantly cheaper with EZAir than booking online (about 60% of published fare). Two weeks ago air fare dropped by $400 so I rebooked the flights at the lower price. There are other advantages to EZAir too. - in case you have to cancel your cruise and have Princess cancellation insurance the flights are covered - if Princess has to change your disembarkation port (rare, I know), EZAir will find flights from the new port for you If you have to cancel flights that you've self ticketed any future flight credit (assuming non refundable fare) will usually expire 1 year from the date you purchased the flights and not 1 year from travel date. For some this can mean a very short period in which they can use the credit.

Another thing I have found with EZAir international is that not all classes of service are offered to EZAir on a given flight. Seems like the airlines offer cheapish (consolidator) fares to EZAir on flights they don't expect to otherwise sell out.

Booking EZAir also protects you in case of things like: - late arrival at disembarkation port - change in disembarkation port - missed connections en route to embarkation My transatlantic flights in business class with EZAir this coming September are far cheaper than I could book them for myself. Last week I found a $400 drop in fares and a reduction in connections from 2 to 1 on the inbound (homeward) trip. Rebooked as soon as In saw it. Can't do that with non-refundable fares without paying a change fee if booked through airlines.

I just did this Monday past (2 days prior to strike) - dropped off form, photos and old passport at Service Canada. I'm happy my application is now in the system even though it's likely just sitting there not being processed. Hopefully this means my application will be processed fairly quickly post strike and that I've avoided the high demand surge that will surely happen then (depending on the length of the strike). Not traveling until late September so I'm hopeful all will be in order in time for my cruise.

Never had an issue getting a refund for a refundable fare on AC. Be aware that said fares tend to be expensive. My issue is that I dropped off my new passport application this past Monday, two days before the PSAC strike. Not traveling until end of September so I think I'll be okay.

Just to confirm that concatenated names are not an issue, here is my situation: I have 3 first names and my passport lists them as First Second Third followed by Last. In my cruise reservation, the good folks at princess have my first name as First and my middle name as SecondThird (no space between the two). My flight reservations in Amadeus show as FirstSecondThird (no spaces). Spelling of all three first names is correct. I shouldn't have an issue checking in, correct? I have not yet been able to able to enter passport info into the flight reservation, because I'm waiting for a new passport, to confirm that the airlines are okay with this.

I just called and was told that my reservation will be automatically switched to CbR (September sailing). The lady I spoke with was not yet aware that BSLM is going away so I'm not sure how much faith I put in what I've been told. I may call back in a few weeks after all the changes have made it through Princess' systems.

My booking for BSLM disappeared from the iPhone app. It still shows in the web version of the app. Maybe Princess will automatically move the booking????

I looked at the deck plans for Enchanted and I must be missing something because I can't tell which cabins connect. What should I be looking for?

I have this issue to. My iPhone app no longer shows my reservation at SLM on Enchanted but the web version of the app shows it and Princess employees see that I'm still booked. Very strange.

So my cruise is still 6 months out and I've noticed that I have etickets issued for both my outbound and inbound flights. Is it normal to have etickets issued this far in advance of travel? ETA: I have EZ Air flexible tickets so I have not paid for them yet

Did you have to pay extra for the LH flights? I'm booked with EZ Air, flying out of Ottawa on a Tuesday evening for a cruise departing on a Saturday so I shouldn't have any issues

Not sure what you mean by "Club Class means a suite". Club Class has a few of the perks of a suite (priority embark/disembark and no wait dining in MDR, for example). Other than that it's not a suite at all ...

Yep, mini suite. According to Princess Club/Reserve get Priority embarkation and disembarkation at the beginning and end of your cruise So I assume the same embarkation/disembarkation perks as a suite apply, but it's unclear if there's a different pecking order or not.

So where do those in Club Class (Reserve Collection) fit into the hierarchy of priority boarding?
