  1. The only weight limit on cabin baggage on AC is that you have to be able to lift your own baggage into the overhead bins. FAs will usually not help you.
  2. So true. I have booked bus class for our European cruise via EZ Air. The same flights, if booked through the airline, are 400% more as of today (they were 200% more through the airline directly when I booked). Now I understand that some fare buckets have sold out since I booked but the savings even at time of booking were amazing.
  3. I'm finding more and more airlines are in fact checking the dimensions of carry on luggage, but as you say this is usually not the flight attendants. The FAs will sometimes police carry on bags if there is no more room on board for them; they will then be gate checked.
  4. I subscribe to ExpertFlyer and I set up notifications for changes in schedule, equipment, number of seats in a fare bucket, etc. I often know about changes before Princess notifies me and this allows me to be proactive about contacting EZ Air about flight changes that may be needed.
  5. I just booked 3 nights at Radisson Blu 1882 for Sep using credit card points. A well reviewed hotel and very close to SF.
  6. I've only flown TAP in business class. Intra-Europe was similar to other European carriers. Transatlantic is very good.
  7. Are you asking if you'll get inferior service on board the flight just because the flight was booked via EZ Air? If so, the answer is no.
  8. So I've prepaid for CG at the old rate. Really looking forward to steak. If I find it not to be at the level of quality I expect for Specialty Dining can I send it back and ask for something else?
  9. I agree. I see the same in my app. I also see that the app still shows me as being in Club Class rather than the new name of Reserve Collection. It's out of date.
  10. Understood, but i was questioning what is meant by "They won't be Sold Out until after final payment. "
  11. Have to disagree with the part of your post I bolded. I just noticed that that number is listed in my Travel Summary, so why not cut out the middleman?
  12. I'm a little confused over the part of your post I bolded. My cruise is in September 2023, today is well before final payment (due in July), and Oceanview rooms show as sold out and have done for weeks.
  13. I was able to select seats for my Air Canada flight ATH-YUL segment but not YUL-YOW. Ez-Air flexible fare, business class (2/3 the cost of same flight on AC website).
  14. Haven't cruised in a decade. Last cruise was a Disney cruise with the kids. A friend of mine sails also exclusively with Princess several times a year and recommended the cruise line so I went with his recommendation.
  15. I'm booked on Enchanted Sep 30-Oct 14, Barcelona to Athens. I'm guessing that during days in port (most of the trip is port days with only 3 days at sea) the casino is closed and Princess Prizes are "off". Can someone confirm? Also, will the casino be open in the evenings when sailing between ports or will the ship not hit international waters when sailing port to port?
  16. In my Travel Summary under the Itinerary section (at the bottom of the section) it indicates the number of formal nights. For my cruise, 14 nights, I see that there will be 4 formal nights
  17. Thanks for the update. I'm on Enchanted in September so I won't bother bring a cable. I too have movies on a portable disc. What file formats will the TV playback?
  18. Yep, a. bottle of wine per person per sitting is not un usual for my household, for better or for worse
  19. For those without a package, how much are coffees/teas/soft drinks? I think you need to include the costs of those in your cost benefit analysis.
  20. For those who don't drink alcohol and don't want wifi and don't want to pay per beverage, the beverage package ($40/day) plus gratuities add up to > $55/day. Want wifi too? The Plus package seems to be the way to go whether or not alcohol is consumed.
  21. I just looked at a new dummy booking for my cruise (Med in Sep/Oct) and the price for Plus is indeed $60 CAD per day per person (Mini Suite) When I booked my cruise last year (August) the cost of Plus was $50 CAD per day as far as I remember
  22. This is how I do it too And for us Canadians when doing the math it must be noted we pay $60/day CAD for Plus. When calculating the break even point for Plus/no Plus this equates to approx $44 USD given that charges incurred on board are in USD. So for a Mini Suite: Gratuities 17 Internet 15 Then, $44 - $17 - $15 = $12 which makes my break even point 1-2 alcoholic drinks per day assuming no specialty coffees and the like.
  23. Comparing CC mini suites on Enchanted, A427 looks to have a bigger balcony than R421 (currently booked in R421). For a party of two is the larger balcony of A427 worth switching to?
  24. I was surprised at how fast that number was answered for me - instantly. I got the number from someone who answered the published Princess toll free number - after a 30 minute wait. Hopefully we don't end up saturating the EZ-AIR number
