  1. Icon has now left Coco Cay. Next stop Miami Whoop Whoop. A reminder for those who missed it: previously should have been arriving in Miami tomorrow, but she's having a sea day to dodge weather and will now be arriving 7am Wednesday.
  2. First arrival in Miami now set for Wednesday 10th January. Tuesday has unfavorable weather conditions! I guess they want good photos.
  3. She’s first due in Miami on 9th January. Same website lists an arrival that date.
  4. And she’s off! Farewell from Europe. Hopefully we’ll see you again some day. Next stop Ponce, Puerto Rico. ETA New Years Day.
  5. Despite having a listed departure time of 19:00 yesterday, Icon is still berthed in Cadiz this morning.
  6. Icon is due to depart Cadiz tonight for Algeciras to bunker LNG.
  7. Videos from crew disappearing on YouTube. Wonder if Royal is cracking down on leaks from the ship. Does seem a shame we’re having some of this revealed when it’s not quite ready.
  8. it’s a shame all the proper insides are being revealed by workers and people on board with poor camera skills and not by Royal Caribbeans proper video teams. Some of it looks so underwhelming because it’s not quite ready or filmed very poorly.
  9. Does seem like that. Bet there'll be a real push on Icon to do everything you can via the app, thus they think they can half the size of guest services.
  10. It was watching the Icon build process on this forum that made me book a week on her! Not sure I can afford to keep tabs on Star being built.
  11. And they can’t do any of this in Turku because they’re building more cruise ships in the dry dock there - including Star of the Seas.
  12. Yes. They are fitting out the final bits they couldn’t do in Finland. Presumably because it’s cold, dark and the middle of winter.
  13. Making good progress. Just about clear of the English channel and into the Bay of Biscay.
  14. Successfully cleared! We were never in any doubt. She didn’t go as fast under as I thought she would. I remember when Oasis went under they made a big deal about having to go at full speed, Icon increased from about 13kts to 16kts.
  15. She’s away to pass under the Storebaelt bridge. https://storebaelt.dk/en/traffic-weather/webcams/
  16. Icon has left her birthplace in Turku and is now heading towards Cadiz. No stop in Copenhagen as previously suggested on this thread. Fairwinds Icon and see you in Miami soon.
  17. I'm interested to see what route she'll take to Copenhagen. The Oasis and Allure both had to pass under the Storebælt 'Great Belt' bridge - with 65m of clearance, retractable exhausts on the top of the funnels were purposely built so they could clear. The Øresund Bridge which connects Denmark with Sweden and is much closer to Copenhagen, but it only has a clearance of 57m which will be too low for Icon. This is the crossing which is half bridge/half tunnel. I'm unsure what the depth of water over the top of the tunnel is and if she'll be able to proceed over that water. Does anyone know? I suspect not because if that had been able to be cleared, surely Oasis and Allure would have done that rather than purposely build retractable funnels for the Great Belt bridge. So I can only assume she'll still pass under the Great Belt bridge, work her way north, and then turn south to approach Copenhagen from the north. Has Icon also been built with retractable funnels?
  18. Would it be for bunkering? Might be easier to fill her up with LNG in Copenhagen than in Turku.
  19. Presumably the till that is carrying out the transaction has an internet connection and knows much credit you have.
  20. yes sorry, you are correct. It was Neptune. I could swear she headed back to Dalsbruk but looking back at the AIS track, I was mistaken.
  21. Icon stopped dead today and a tug from Dalsbruk in the South of Finland came out to meet her. Bringing some people out perhaps?
  22. You’re the sort of person who books a 9am flight aren’t you? 😂
