  1. Can each of the 4 devices be doing something different at the same time? In other words, could I be paying bills while my husband is reading the New York Times?
  2. I see that the Multi Device Premium Internet is for 4 devices at a time, but it is priced "per person" not per cabin. It would be much less expensive than buying two one-device at a time Premium Internet plans. Is is OK for two persons in the same cabin to use one Multi-Device Premium Internet Plan, assuming that the total devices being used at any one time were four or fewer?
  3. We're trying to decide between a Vista Suite and a Neptune Suite on the Zaandam. Can anyone tell me whether either or both of these cabins have a divider between the sleeping area and the sitting area?
  4. Will the prices of "Early Booking Bonus Have It All" and drinks packages also be going up on February 1 to take into account the more expensive crew appreciation? Or have they already gone up for all cruises sailing after February 1 ? If a cruise sailing after February 1 is booked now, will the cost of the Early Booking Bonus Have It All and drinks packages reflect the current cost or the new rate? If the same cruise is booked after February 1 or a drinks package is added to an existing booking after February 1, will the new crew appreciation rate be charged as part of those packages?
  5. How long is the "Have It All Early Booking Bonus" available to be purchased with new bookings? In other words, how far in advance of sailing does the Have It All Early Booking Bonus option disappear, to be replaced by the "Have It All" that does not include crew appreciation? I have my eye on a cruise that is a year and a half from now, but DH and I have some things to work out before we know whether or not we'll be able to sail. I'm wondering how long we have to think about this without losing the opportunity to buy a Early Booking Have It All bonus that would be quite valuable to us.
  6. Mine showed up today and so did shorediver's.
  7. I know that Holland America has its own "Cruise Consultants", but are there also TA's who specialize in Holland America cruises - who may have access and prices not available to the average TA? Do HAL "cruise consultants" sell cruises only at brochure rates and include only those bonuses that appear on the website?
  8. I see it. But I'm looking for the round-trip from Ft. Lauderdale circumnavigating Africa.
  9. Thank you for this information. May I ask, where did you learn it? Does this mean that all of HAL's fall 2025 voyages have not yet been released?
  10. Does anyone have a clue about whether Holland America will be sailing a Grand Africa Voyage out of Ft. Lauderdale in the fall of 2025?
  11. I should have rephrased my question. It was related to the discussion about earning enough PUP to get free laundry. I should have said something like, "If we fail to earn enough PUP to get complimentary laundry, is there another way?" Or, "Do we really have to stress about earning enough PUP to get one bag of free laundry?"
  12. Do Celebrity suites include complimentary laundry?
  13. Your PUPs , your points for the cruise you were currently on, or the points for the first of a B2B? Did you get a higher level mid-cruise when you received these points?
  14. If you get the points to reach the next loyalty level during a cruise, can you access the higher level benefits while on that cruise, or do you have to wait until that cruise is over and you sail on another one?
  15. Is Holland America's Orange Night a deck party? When during a cruise could I expect that night? I'm booked on a 22 day San Diego to Vancouver via Hawaii cruise and want to buy something orange that would be weather appropriate.
  16. I'm looking at this part, "Cancellation fees also will apply to changes to departure date; substitutions of itinerary substitution of another person for original booked passenger(s); and changes to a promotional fare." But even if the Revision section applies instead, why are some passengers charged fees and others are not?
  17. Good for you! But now I'm really confused. Do you or your TA have special status with Viking? Or am I reading Viking's Terms and Conditions wrong?
  18. We will be in Cabo San Lucas on the Koningsdam April 7 from 11 AM to 11 PM and in Mazatlan on April 9 from 7 AM to 5 PM. We're wondering what to do in those two ports. We don't especially want to take a group tour, except possibly a walking tour. Rather, we might like to go somewhere pleasant where we can listen to Mexican music and have a drink and/or local food. If not, then we're open to other ideas. Would anyone like to give us some suggestions?
  19. I am happy to hear that you have been able to make changes to your cruises without fees. That may not be possible any more, according to VIKING BOOKING AND SALE TERMS AND CONDITIONS https://docs.vikingcruises.com/pdf/2-230626_BookingAndSaleTermsAndConditions.pdf Under Cancellation Policy: "Cancellation fees also will apply to changes to departure date; substitutions of itinerary; substitution of another person for original booked passenger(s)"
  20. Several years ago, when I changed one Viking River cruise for a different one, I had to pay a change fee.
  21. Your cruise must be less than 35 days? I was hoping to book a long cruise. https://docs.vikingcruises.com/pdf/2-230626_BookingAndSaleTermsAndConditions.pdf Cancellation Fee Schedule Effective for Cruise Tours (other than Grand & World Cruise Voyage) booked on or after August 1, 2018: Written Notice received Days Prior to Departure Date Cancellation fee Per Passenger 120 or more $100.00 119 to 90 20% of Full Fare 89 to 70 35% of Full Fare 69 to 50 50% of Full Fare 49 to 30 75% of Full Fare 29 or fewer 100% of Full Fare B. Cancellation Fee Schedule Effective for Cruise Tours more than 35 days (Grand and World Cruise Voyages) booked on or after August 1, 2018: Written Notice received Days Prior to Departure Date Cancellation fee Per Passenger 180 or more $1,000.00 179 to 150 20% of Full Fare 149 to 120 40% of Full Fare 119 to 90 60% of Full Fare 89 to 60 80% of Full Fare 59 or fewer 100% of Full Fare
  22. Thank you everyone for your posts. The way I understand the answers is that there is no way to avoid a penalty if you book and then have to cancel a Viking Ocean cruise. If anyone wants to sail Viking, they have to wait until the last minute to book, in which case they will probably pay way more for the cruise; or be willing to risk loosing $1,000 or more in case they have to cancel; or buy insurance. Am I understanding correctly?
