My husband had been to Alaska many times when he was in the Coast Guard, and he told me to pick starboard. We're not going until May so I can't say whether he's right or not! 🙃 We picked itinerary #2 but that was strictly so we can stop in Sitka and see family.

It's showing under my reservation, too, and I am printing that sucker out and bringing it with me!! 😄

I personally really enjoyed the Fortress of the Bear, although I didn't do it as an excursion. Husband and I took a trip to Sitka in 2021 to visit family and went while we were there for a week. We also liked the raptor center.

Hello all! I just finished reading every comment in this post (took me three days)! I was sad to watch Sthrngary's evolution from loving NCL and the Haven to looking elsewhere for his cruise vacations. But a big thank you for the butler letter, I am drafting my copy today! One question: we originally booked a Club Balcony Suite, and this past weekend bit the bullet and upgraded to a Haven Courtyard Penthouse (we weren't eligible to bid). We are 89 days out from our cruise. When does the pre-concierge get in touch? I've searched and found conflicting information. If we are already past the window where they reach out, I want to get in contact with them, but if it's not for a while then of course I'll wait!
