No exception taken 😉, i fully understand and can see your point of view and to be honest they are some of the thoughts that i had, In the end i just thought i might as well give it a go, nothing ventured nothing gained so to speak, I mean if it's not for me then i will be putting the suit up for sale 😁
I fly out this Friday 03/03/23 to Barbados to join Arvia for 2 weeks around the Caribbean, Formal nights are not something that i am used to to be honest and with being a new cruiser as well not something i have had to do in the past,
I don't possess a tuxedo or the likes but i have managed to acquire what i see as quite a smart suit with white shirt and bow tie,
I have no doubt it will feel quite alien to me to dress this way but i am looking forward to it, i mean is it to much to ask or to much trouble for 1 night a week? i don't know? but i am willing to give it a try to find out,
I don't think you have to be a heavy drinker, bear in mind it is not just alcohol the drinks package covers,
i have worked out for myself if i have on a daily basis (which is not a lot)
2 beers
1cocktail
1 spirit
2 premium coffee
2 soft drink
1 bottle water
it will cost somewhere in the region of £37. give or take a few pence.
so overall not to far off the drinks package price,
Add 1 extra drink of any kind to that and you will be at drinks package price. 🙂
Getting excited now as it is only 3 weeks to go for my 1st P&O cruise 🙂
I have just done the online check in bit on My P&O and downloaded the boarding passes for my wife and myself, my question is regarding my wife's boarding pass - it only shows her first and last name but not her middle name? even though this was provided to P&O when we booked the cruise with them and filled in the personal information bit on their website with passport details and insurance details, would this be a problem come boarding time or stop us from boarding as it does not match her passport info ?
someone please put my mind at rest and tell me it will be ok 🙂

Good day everyone,
i feel like it's silly question time from me,
As this is the first time i have booked a holiday direct- without a travel agent so to speak who does everything for you, can someone tell me please how i go about getting or do i get an E-Ticket/boarding for the flight out to Barbados? on 03/03/23
also is it advisable to attach the cruise/luggage labels at departure airport or at destination airport?
thanks
Gem
You might also find it's also a little different on the tips/gratuities side of things, it is not the same as USA, in fact on P&O website it states..
Great service comes as standard
Tipping isn't needed on our ships so you can relax knowing good service and good times are all part and parcel of your P&O Cruises holiday.
Well i will be hoping 🤞 that things improve,
My wife and i are booked on Arvia 03/03/23 for 14 nights, this will be 1st time with P&O so not got anything to compare it to, my thoughts will have to be based on first impression,
Time will tell 🙂

Clubcardcruiser,
Thanks for that link,
Having checked all the destinations,
Barbados, Tortola, La Romana, St Maarten, Antigua, Martinique, St Lucia
that we will be visiting on that list it seems Barbados is the only one that requires the Immigration and customs form.
that makes things easier, i was expecting every island to require something like that, 🤷♂️ 😕
Thank you
Gem
Thanks for this info Megabear2,
It says we have £600 OBC, not sure if that is a typo 🙂
It would be great if you give some clues on the best trips to go on,
