Good news - have a great cruise!!

Came home to dogs and the cat laying in my lap, each of us getting cuddles we missed for 5 days. Fri night cat laid in DH lap until he went to bed, at which time he moved to my lap. Yesterday he spent the entire day on my lap and last night he went into the bedroom per usual. This morning I didn't see him for breakfast and calls for him went unanswered. This afternoon DH found him under the bed. He looked at him when DH nudged him, but he didn't come out. Something is definitely not right. A few years ago, he had a very bad case of bladder stones and has been on a special diet since, no flare ups. Dr said signs to watch for are litter box and isolation. He is a very social guy, so isolation is easy to spot. DH will try to get him out in the morning to go to the vet if he hasn't come out before. Vet is not open tonight and I would like to not go to the ER if possible. It's about 30 min from us, so can't get there quickly if we needed to, where our vet is less than 5 min away. 🤔😪

They were in my cabins last year on Eurodam, NS and K'dam and this year on K'dam. But I've not been on a BHB since Jan, so that could have changed.

Congratulations on the good number of showings- not surprising for such a lovely place. I bet you and Ivan are happy to get them behind you. I'm sorry you're going through this. Packing & settling of memories is not easy and doesn't need the complications of a delay. Your struggles have been real. Of course, closing & date of possession can be negotiated and I'm sure your agent will do their best for you without losing the sale. Have you considered a lease back? That's usually the perfect solution for your situation. It allows you to close but gets you a little extra time to move to the other place w/out the hassle of temporary numbers, services, etc. Might be worth asking. Apologies if I over stepped. 🙏 and 🫂 🤗 for you and Ivan.

These are from K'dam Dec '23 - Jan '24; you can see the date in one of the pictures. I spent a lot of time in BoB over that 16 day cruise and I never saw them in use.

I'm also in the "I don't WANT to fly" category, but like @Mary229 I fly for 100% of my cruises as I'm land locked w/the closest port being almost 6 hour drive. And that doesn't get me on a BHB since HAL doesn't port there.

I was in that cabin Feb '23. I had no issues with noise from below. The only issue I had was A/C that would not cool. Maintenance made repeat trips to our cabin, but couldn't fix it. One guy said the issue was because they (ship) did not want to adjust the settings that controlled the block of cabins that we were in because all cabins had not complained. When we pressed him for details, he said while several of us had complained about our cabins being too hot, the NS cabin hadn't and they didn't want to risk upsetting the highest fare cabin. Honest to goodness!! I'm sure they've fixed that by now. Other than that, we enjoyed the cabin. FWIW, a box fan was put in our cabin to help circulate the hot air.

Yes @Al2863 you can specify "hang dry only - do not put in dryer." HAL does a great job of honoring special requests.

Unfortunately, no rain in the forecast. Last I checked, tomorrow's high is predicted to be 103-107, ugh.

A new neighbor on ND posted she makes cakes. I ordered one a couple weeks ago for delivery this weekend; her DH brought it over this afternoon. This is my cake Here are a few pics she posted of her work If it tastes half as pretty as it looks, I will have her make an anniversary cake for us next month. She is self taught trying to make money to help support her family.

Same observations having flown as recently as yesterday and Sunday. So many people standing in the aisles while FAs worked the overhead bins like Tetris, ultimately having most of the bags checked. Just check it when you know it's longer than the bin is 🥴

Thanks, Everyone, for the kind welcome home 🏡 Just boarded shuttle for the airport. Knee mostly cooperated until this morning - I had requested a wheelchair 👩‍🦽for disembarkation and they had a letter in my cabin plus called me in my cabin to confirm, but it was nowhere to be seen this morning. It is a VERY long walk from our meeting place, through pp control and out to luggage 🧳. Knee made it about halfway; the lady behind me found someone to get me a wheelchair. Thank you, Lord, for providing angels when we need them. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all.
