Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I thought most folks brought a cheap programmable remote to switch the source / input?
  2. It looks like your ship features Starlink, so I believe you'll be fine. Some folks buy portable travel routers and share a 1-device Wi-Fi plan between multiple gadgets. See Starlink reference at the bottom of the page https://www.celebritycruises.com/cruise-ships/celebrity-solstice $34 on Amazon https://www.gl-inet.com/products/gl-sft1200/
  3. On the Edge ship (not Apex), but couldn't find a comparable question about the deck.
  4. Did you ever get an answer to this about deck 3? We've been assigned a cabin across from the elevators and theatre.
  5. Thank you DaKahuna, but I did search with no luck until your post. Pulled the trigger with your folks' sage advice and just paid for an ocean view guarantee. Only challenge I'm having now is the add-ons, like specialty dining and Wi-Fi, are pretty spendy with very little discount, like 6% - 10% savings. I assume I just need to keep checking the portal daily for specials, but don't know if it's so late in the game with a May 1st sailing.
  6. I am looking to book either a deluxe inside stateroom (DI) or an ocean view guarantee (Y - possible obstructed view). I've held 8214 (DI), but I'm a little worried about potential noise as a light sleeper. This is a reposition with plenty of sea days, so I tried to pick something towards the middle of the boat. Anyone able to give advice to a newbie please?
  7. Really debating on doing Ovation this April from Hawaii to Vancouver. I figure Ovation is a bigger ship with plenty to do and different dining experiences. Anyone have experience with this reposition?
  8. Debating on taking the Ovation in April for a repositioning from Hawaii to Vancouver. Have any opinion on several sea days on Ovation?
  9. You didn't have a You didn't by chance have the $31 Cafe Select Coffee Card while onboard? Curious how Brilliance's Cafe Latte-Tudes treats large size beverages, whether it's one punch or two on the multi-punch card since it varies between ships.
  10. So I've seen these blogs and still have some questions https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2022/06/24/guide-royal-caribbeans-coffee-card-package https://eatsleepcruise.com/what-you-need-to-know-about-the-royal-caribbean-cafe-select-coffee-card/ Do the coffee cards ever go on sale from their base price of $31? It sounds like it's better to buy the card onboard versus the RCCL site, since I could get the punch card sooner. Do the cafés have lactose-free milk available because I'm a fancy hot chocolate drinker? Has anyone compiled a list of which ships do one punch versus two? Does a double punch for a large also apply to a non-espresso drink, like iced coffee and hot chocolate?
  11. I just got offered today the Classic Soda And VOOM One Device for $22.99 / per guest per day. I jumped on it since internet alone was going to be $16.99 per device per day.
  12. If you buy sodas outright in the main dining room or a specialty restaurant (no beverage package), are refills included for free? If not, I assume I'll do the movie theater route, no ice in my pop please.
  13. I've tried to search the forums and I haven't had luck finding an answer. We're newbies and just booked the Brilliance to Alaska on September 3, 2023 for seven days. Like the village idiot, I'm probably overanalyzing the dining situation, but I feel like this is a trip to Disney, you better have a game plan. I'm going to get the 3 night dining package for $95 each (two of us). I thought it would probably be better to have the first reservation on the second evening (would you agree?) with my preferred time at the venue's opening, 5:30 p.m., but I don't understand which restaurant I'll get. I know I need to get on board to get my other subsequent specialty reservations, so I'll beeline it to Izumi Sushi & Hot Rocks and book the rest. I have no qualms with eating in the MDR, but how do you know the theme nights ahead of your cruise? If it's say Mexican (which I love) or formal in the MDR, I'd like to book a specialty place instead. My reservation states Dining (Waitlist): 5:30 PM(). I also requested a MDR table for two, but I don't see it reflected anywhere on what I was emailed. From reading other posts here, it looks like prior to the cruise I should email rcldining@rccl.com . Not super important, but does anyone know if this smaller Quantum-class vessel serves Impossible burgers? We are booked into an interior accessible room, 2023, and had the option of another one on deck three. I was told we are closer to the center and that elevators are easier to get being at the bottom. My only concern is what is on the other side of us that potentially could be noisy since I'm a light sleeper. Any opinions on this please?
