I'm on the same cruise, but Nov. 18-25 instead of March! I wish the Haven was as cheap for that week! Probably something to due with that pesky Thanksgiving holiday... Anyway, can't wait to follow along on your journey and hope all the last-minute paperwork goes smoothly!

I am taking my mom on a cruise this fall for her 85th birthday, along with my partner and our 11 year old twins. I specifically booked a cruise on the Joy for the Family Suite - I believe this is the room that Geezer is referring to above. It is 2BR/2BA but only has a "virtual" balcony - basically a window screen that shows a visual of what's outside the ship. The room sleeps up to 6 as there is a living room between the 2 BRs with a pullout double sofa. It's over 500sq ft... Personally I think this is the perfect setup for multi-generational travel! It was much cheaper than booking 2 rooms for us (considering we would need enough room for 4 in one room anyway). I think the Category is called SP. I saw the pics you posted in the facebook group - thank you so much for sharing your trip with us! I actually have a question about a previous cruise. I'll be going to the western caribbean later this year and wondering if you would recommend the excursion you took in Roaton. My kids are adamant about holding sloths!

My kids (age 11) don't have phones yet. Has anyone used walkie-talkies?

Yep - I saw it listed on tap on a District Brewhouse menu. We have a decent scene here with alot of local breweries of varying quality, but I'm sure it's nothing like in Minneapolis! I'm pretty sure I've been to that beer garden before...it was really cool!

Sydney - I highly recommend the Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA, if you're a fan of IPAs. It's a local (Delaware/MD) brewery, but I saw it listed on some of the ships! It packs a punch too (9% ABV)

Well this morning, after having FAS Plus removed yesterday, it was back available today. If it was a gimmick, it worked. The fear of not having the option made me go ahead and purchase it!

Well, I checked my app this morning and it was active again! I was able to purchase the FAS Plus package, and it says it was added to my reservation. Strange but I'll take it!

It seems like the Free at Sea Plus offer is now no longer available. Does anyone know if they often take it away and then bring it back? I hadn't purchased it yet but it was in my cart!

Sadly my last NCL cruise was 17 years ago and there is no record of it (my name changed since then, etc), so they consider me a first-timer. johnrich I do hope you will report back on the family suite after your Bermuda cruise. Nice to know we will be sailing together in the fall!

Thanks for the info mking8288! I have this room booked for my Thanksgiving cruise...really no choice as I am traveling with partner, 2 kids, and my mom... Only other option is Haven Family Suite which is out of my price range 😞 Just curious - when do the "bid" options usually happen? Maybe I'll be able to bid on a Haven suite!
